The Hotel Moseltor is an attractive hotel and a gourmet restaurant. It is in Trarbach, across the bridge from Traben and the railway station. It is quite close to the Mosel and some of the rooms have river views. It is run by a very hard working family who provide a really high standard of service in both the hotel... More

We stayed 2 nights in a balcony room. The room is on the small side by U.S. Standards, but certainly adequate for a couple and it's a historic building so the room size is not unexpected. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the balcony looking out over the Moselle. The location is perfect for getting around TT or to... More

Dear 82JLS! Thank you so much for your writing. Yes it is true, our small hotel was not build as a hotel. Like that some rooms don't have that hotel room size what you maybe expect from the U.S. But you did felt comfortable with us. That's our goal. Satisfied guests! Hope to see you again one day! This is a nice place to stay. The people are friendly and the room was a reasonable size. The shower was great. The breakfasts a very good, with lots to choose from, all fresh (although the only hot thing was eggs). The little dog, Max, is a real charmer and very well behaved. The beds were too hard for me,... Nice little hotel with excellent location. Breakfast Was superb, it was a shame that we didn't have a dinner at restaurant. Rooms were excellent. Minus for hard beds and lack of information of restaurant opening times/days. I would recommend this hotel in a hart beat expecially because of friendly owners.

Dear Ola-Mara! Thank you very much for your short review of your stay in our small hotel. The first thing we did after we read your comment, we chanced the information sheet in the rooms about the opening hours of our restaurant. Thank you very much for the good idea. About the hard beds.. well thats a special thing. Some... More

Room we had on riverside had a nice balcony, but room itself was painfully small. Bathroom was small, too. Not 'allowed' to bring beverages from outside hotel. Schlepping bags up to the top floor was tough, but owners helped get 'em up there. Right on river great view from balcony. Kinda expensive. Breakfast should have been included in the price.... More

Thank you very much for your time and your posting on tripadvisor. We don't know from where you got the information, but you can bring beverage up to your room. Also, our hotel-rates are always with breakfast from the buffet & service. This misunderstanding comes maybe from the two different tax percentage. Room has 7% and food 19%. Thats why... More

This has a good position, near to the Mosel river. Run by a brother and sister, attention to detail is impressive. Rooms are a little on the small side, but beautifully appointed. They welcomed our little dog and gave her a treat which kept her quiet for ages! The only problem is that there is no elevator and we found... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this family run hotel. The accommodation was spacious (even with a cot in our room) and the in house restaurant fantastic. Our baby was warmly welcomed and enjoyed the stay as much as we did! We found that Traben-Trarbach was a lovely place to base ourselves to enjoy the Mosel.

This hotel is in the centre of Traben-Trarbach, a small town on the banks of the Moselle river. There is free, nearby parking for cars, and the quiet location is wonderful for touring the various towns up and down the Moselle. The Moseltor is located on the Trarbach side of the Mosel which is a bit quieter and less congested than the Traban side. Parking is scarce with only two spaces in front of the hotel, but a public lot with free parking is only one block away. The hotel rooms were basic, but also quite spacious, comfortable and clean.
