My family and I visited this place in May for ( saddly) only 2 nights and it was one of the nicest places I've visited. Designed for true nature lovers this discrete but comfortable was truly enjoyable. Run mostly by women ( mother and daughter), but also with biologists and inters working, this hotel is aiming to pretend the Botanic Garden reserve while also educating people about the local flora fauna an dindigenois community ( which they work closely with). The place is beautifully located by the sea and has the whole jungle at its feet. As a vegetarian the food is very accommodating and the hospitality was top tier. Would 100% reccomend. ( this awesome place is not a luxurious hotel, so anyone going should take into account to respect nature, animals, indigenous people. If not, maybe not the right fit...)

The Botanical Garden of the Pacific is located in the Colombian Pacific. I was there in August 2021 the place was very quiet and full of nature. The activities offered included ecological walks, whale watching or bird watching. The service was excellent, the rooms very comfortable and the food was delicious. What I liked the most was the tranquility of the place and the connection with the sea and nature in general. I would go back to this place because visiting this place was a way to start getting to know Colombia better and I want to continue getting to know it

I traveled Tribuga's Gulf for 30 days during December 2020 and early January 2021 and Mecana Hotel was definitely the best place I had the pleasure to stay in. Not only it is geographically OUTSTANDING, in front of the gorgeous Mecana Beach and surrounded by the most amazing fauna and flora, that happens to be a privately owned Botanic Garden, but also the staff that work there are incredible, starting with Marlene who is perhaps, one of the best cooks in the region, lovely Angel and Jackson that always have a smile in their faces and many others which names I not longer remember. Dona Adela, the owner, made me feel like home literally, I was spoiled and well taken care of, something that, as a solo traveler, is highly appreciate it. The garden itself is pretty amazing, very unique with abundant plants and animals, I even saw a Harpy Eagle and tons of amazing birds and amphibians. I highly recommend this place, the price is super fair for an incredible experience! They also offer a few pretty interesting excursions and their guide, Antonio, is very knowledgeable about the plants in the area! There is also opportunity to interact with the locals if this is something that interests you without being invasive.

We stayed here as a family with Colombia Inspira to whale watch and stayed with Chacha and her staff. Right on the beach, super host and great staff made this stay truly memorable. We stayed in the separate stilted room, four poster and felt in the lap of luxury, with our own piece of private beach. Can’t recommend enough. 6 stars! Thanks Chacha and staff for a great stay. Wished we could have stayed on

I was recommended Jardin Botánico by a friend and it did not disappoint. Just a short flight from the in city airport in Medellin. I was met at the airport and taken in a tuk tuk to the beach where I was met by the host Luisa. For those of you still struggling to learn Spanish Luisa speaks perfect English! The hotel is on 5km of almost deserted beach. It is a beautifully constructed wooden building that works perfectly with the jungle backdrop. My room had its own bathroom and private terrace with a hammock to while away the hours with a good book. All your meals are included in the price and I can honestly say it was the best food I've eaten in Colombia. The tuna empanadas on the first night were a real high point. Two local women prepare all the meals using local sourced produce. Luisa arranged for me and two other guests to go for a hike in the jungle. The guide was very knowledgeable and the path suitable for all abilities. I cannot recommend Jardin Botánico highly enough. If you are looking for somewhere off the normal tourist trail this is the place. I am looking forward to going back already.

I planned on staying two nights and ended up staying more than a week :)! Points that i wrote down in my diary to not forget: - sea is clear and has perfect temperature - food is amazing + healthy (need some of the recepies) - rooms are clean simple and cozy - sounds: only waves and birds and sometimes pans and potts outta the kitchen :) - there is wifi and always clean water to shower - you have a beach for your own, most of the times it was really JUST me on the beach(which is super clean and long) - thounds of animals like birds crabs frogs butterflies and fish - there are NOT many Mosquitoes! Activities: go fishing , kayaking, hiking with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, lie in a hammock

Already getting there is something special with the small airplane, the taxi und the boat. The rooms are basic, the food was excellent. Fresh fish in many different ways with salads, vegetables and lots of fruit juices. We were out of whale-watching season, so we were total alone at the long beach with a lot of crabs and pelicans. We also did a tour in the forest with a very friendly and patient guide. The location is remote, but still had a WIFI, which worked nearly always. We returned with a lot of good memories and the plan to go again to this region, this time to watch whales :-)

The flight alone from Medellin to Bahia Solano is an adventure. you leave from a small airport in the middle of the sprawling city of Medellin in a small propeller airplane and therefore hava a fantastic view of the city and the landscape. Arriving in Bahia Solano we were met by the co-owner of the guesthouse, who had arranged for a 'taxi' (a three wheeler, whose driver avoided expertly the potholes in the road) to the small port, where the outboard boat beloning to the Jardin Botanico was waiting for us. Plan to wear flipflops, it makes life a lot easier! After a short boatride we arrived in Paradise. The guesthouse is as close to the ocean as comfortable, the entracne way lined with hibiscus bushes. The rooms are simple, with a shared bath room on each floor; the top of the shower - cold water only, but hot is really not needed in this tropical place - is open to the trees in back of the house. The food, prepared freshly for each of the three meals, is simply delicious as well as ample. Do book some guided walks through the Jardin Botanico and remeber to bring some cotton socks as you will need to wear rubber boots (wellies) that are provided by the guesthouse. The boatride through the backwaters and then out to the ocean for whalewatching is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have - the guesthose is also located to the protected rainforrest area by ourpiece.com

Our stay at the Jardin Botanico del pacifico was excellent. The place was amazingly beautiful, on a remote beach, in the jungle and near mangroves. The food was delicious with fresh fish and lots of juices. We went on a hike in the jungle and boat trip to see the many whales who are swimming near the coast.
