This hotel is in a great location. Almost ski in ski out especially when snow is a plenty. We had a 2 room 2 bathroom apartment with a balcony that had a great view overlooking the ice skating pond. Large ski drying room with ample access. The hotel is a very short flat walk to village shops and restaurants.

Booked a studio but ended up with a one bed appartment. Fully fitted kitchen with full size appliances. Good bathroom with good toiletries. Very comfortable sofa in lounge and comfortable beds. Unlike other reviews we did have hanging space in the bedroom and plenty of storage/hanging space just inside the door for ski gear/outer clothes etc. Could have done with... More

Better than average, but not quite very good. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom was nice, but there are other issues that are in the layout of the 1 bedrooms. Pros, lots of space, full sized stove and refrigerator, dishwasher, lots of cubbie space at the entrance. Cons, too hot even in the winter, no place to put... More

Overall the room was clean and fairly well outfit. The big problem was there wasn't a single place to hang anything. No hooks, hangers, coatracks....nothing. Pretty annoying when you come back from skiing and want to dry your stuff. I'm told the larger rooms and especially the hottub rooms are better. If you're planning on staying here don't stay in... I'll start with the positive. Despite having some issues with the property, I do have to give the staff credit. They were always professional and as helpful as they could be. The units in this building are individually owned, but I am assuming that this is on a time-share basis, so when the owner of the unit is not around... More

What a Magical weekend my Husband & I had at Silver Star. We stayed two nights in a one bedroom apartment. It had everything you could think of needing, especially loved the full kitchen set up. The apartment was clean & felt fresh and modern, beautiful Black & White images on the walls. Staff was friendly & seemed happy to... More

Firelight is in a bit of an odd position, about 200 metres from the village. Its only weird because they're separated by a couple of car parks and Firelight is comparatively tall (other accommodation available is low profile or accessible without passing vehicles). The walk should not be an issue for most people. On the upside, the location means it's... More

We enjoyed four days at the Firelight Lodge at Silverstar resort in December 2014. The access to the hill was perfect. There was plenty of room for skis and equipment while leaving the living space clean. There was a TV in the living room and master bedroom, but not in the second bedroom. Two very nice bathrooms and a washer/dryer... More

Satyed near the end of August for a weekend of biking with the family. Had a 1 bedroom suite with the pull-out couch for the kidlets. Very nice accomodations. The full kitchen had everything needed for stay-in meals. Beds, etc were all comfortable. Would definately stay here again. Only two things I would caution are that the units don't have AC,... More
