The hardest review I have done. The room is located outside the pub it is clean. Has a nice shower and comfortable bed. The room was very hard to keep warm in January. There was an additional heater. It would have been nice to put this on a few hours before guest arrived rather than when they got there. The... More

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night for a family party nearby. Rooms were of an excellent standard, all very clean and tidy. We ate in the bar in the bar in the evening and the food here was excellent with the owner very happy to help us out with local logisitics including taxi's to... More

We have eaten here on many occasions and the food is always excellent and the staff friendly. The menu isn't huge but it is always beautifully cooked & presented. Chips are sooo good as is all the food. You can eat in the bar or restaurant. Price wise you can eat elsewhere locally for mediocre food or eat here for... More

Stayed here 2 nights as we were attending a funeral in the local church. Could not have been more convenient. Accommodation comfortable with ample room. Spotlessly clean. Great shower. Plenty of towels. Toiletries now provided. Additional moveable heater if required when central heating not on so, although weather was cold, we were able to keep very warm. Plenty of storage... After spending three days of our holiday struggling to find a pet friendly pub or restaurant we came across McTaggarts in Ashill. The food was superb, the staff were really friendly and we could take our dog in the bar or the restaurant. The building itself resembled more of an inner city bar/restaurant so for us it was a welcome... More

Traveling from Ireland for a wedding, we booked a stay in McTaggarts online. We were delighted with we find when we landed: you will not find a better place to stay for the weekend. First off, the place is lovely, and is as displayed online: a freshly refurbished, modern B&B in a lovely village setting setting. Ours was a party... More

We had to come to Ashill for a family party, so googled B&B's in Ashill and this place came up so rang and booked. Have had a great time, what great hosts, the food in both the bar and Restuarant was great, and the rest of the staff lovely. It may be out of the way, but I would recommend... More
