We have just returned from a two nights stay and have to say that we had a great mini break at the Bay Horse. The room we stayed in was warm and spotlessly clean with good amenities and very quiet. The hosts are very nice and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had two evening meals which were... More

This is a real English pub, food is all freshly made, landlord is the friendliest and most accommodating you will ever find. Dinning room is beautiful, the whole atmosphere in this pub is guaranteed not to disappoint.

Great food all round with a nice pint. Service very good, food excellent and plenty of it, fella behind bar great sense of humour. Dont be put off when you first walk in as the room where you eat is to the back of the pub and is very nice.

Warm cosy and clean room, good quality food... My steak pie was just delicious served with plenty of accompaniments. The village is quiet and pretty and we had a quick walk round after a very well cooked breakfast. If you have to follow a gluten free diet they cater for you brilliantly here - they are very aware of what... More

Visited with the other half and the kids for Sunday lunch. Massive portions, you can tell everything is freshly prepared. Huge homemade Yorkshire puds and roasties. Good choice of meats. Excellent value for money in a relaxed country pub setting. Child friendly.

We have just come back from a two night stay which was a surprise birthday treat from my husband. This place is amazing, The owners Chis and Bev were kind and friendly and treated us like they had known us for years. The bed room & bathroom was beautiful and clean with crisp white bedding and towels. We ordered our... More

We stayed here on 1st November. Thought there was going to be a mix up at the start with double bookings, but everything worked out fine. Very obliging and keen to make sure your stay was enjoyable. Nice open fire to compliment the the atmosphere and food and drink. Hope to stay here again.

We stayed here for one night in October 2013. It is an excellent place to stay, the room was excellent with plenty of room with a good sized bathroom. The bar was well stocked with real ale which was on good form. We ate our evening meal in the hotel resturant and had a fantastic meal at a very reasonable... More

We stayed here as we had been participating in the Yorkshire Spartan Race and needed somewhere comfortable, warm and relaxing (with a hot bath an absolute must) to stay to ease our aches and pains. Knowing we would have insatiable appetites and quite some thirst we also needed good food and drink. We were not disappointed. This pub has a... More
