This place is a great place to relax and unwind. With a log fire burning in the winter and fresh locally sourced produce on offer its a great place to have a bite to eat and a few GnTs. The staff are all very nice and couldn't do enough for us.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for Valentines weekend as a base for walking in North Yorks. The inn was in a quiet little village yet easy accessable for the motorway and nearby market towns. Made to feel very welcome by Chris and his wife and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable with plenty of hot... More

Lovely old fashioned country pub. Good evening meal ( steak pie was lovely) and excellent breakfast The proprietors were very welcoming, friendly and chatty. Room - very clean, very hot water, bathroom had an ice big bath and a powerful shower , old fashioned decor but was in keeping with the hotel. Perfect relaxing evening for couples for an inexpensive... More

Stayed here on Sunday 22nd Feb 2015, a charming old style village pub. Chris our host couldn't have been more helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, good food with large portions and well kept ales would definitely stay here again.

We found this country Inn by looking on Trip Advisor and choosing it because of all the good comments, we were'nt disappointed. We were greeted with a warm welcome in a lovely traditional country inn by the landlord Chris, could'nt ask for a more helpful person. The room was great all you needed. The food was excellent, breakfast was one... More

Stayed at this hotel with a couple of friends having stayed there a couple of years ago. Food as before was excellent, knew not to get a starter as the mains were so big and filling. Breakfast is a little early, 9am on a Sunday but its worth getting up for Only downside was no TV in the bar and... More

A cold winters evening, and needed accommodation and a hearty meal, chose Bay Horse as 5 mins off A1. Everything I wanted happened, log fire, warm cosy bar, very welcoming landlord and staff and a lovely home made yorkshire hotpot. Perfect.

Stayed here for two nights after good reviews on the breakfast. A very warm welcome and friendly staff. The room was as expected nice and clean. The showers hot water only lasted 5 mins though. The food was okay but good for a b&b. Only downside was breakfast was too early the latest we could have it was 8.45. But... More

The owner was welcoming, helpful and very accommodating to all out needs. The room was clean, nicely decorated and warm. The major downside was we were based above the kitchen and the extractor fan was very loud in the morning in our room.
