I have family nearby and didn't want to impose staying with them. Church View Bed and Breakfast is well located on Main Street. Very nice, attractive and well maintained property, inside and out. There is ample off street parking, and there is good lighting and an overall feeling of security. Clean. The owner is very thorough, attentive, and will put... More

Proprietor Jacci has a wonderful thing going - a beautiful home, terrific breakfasts and Irish hospitality that she shares with those who stay with her. The decor & furnishings are very pleasing and even a payphone is provided for guests - not something you see anymore. We stayed in room #5 - the triple at the top of the stairs... More

We just returned from a 7-night stay in Ireland. The B&B was right in the center of town and dinner at The Crossbar Pub next door was great. We upgraded our room as we really needed a good night's sleep and a double bed is a "no-no" As innkeepers from Maine, for me it is always about the bed and... More

A very pleasant, off the beaten track, place to stop. Jacki is full of enthusiasm and energy even after a long season of seven days a week catering to the public. Adding to the hospitality, this B&B obviously is dedicated to the interests and wellbeing of the traveler. You did not feel like you were in someone's home. It is... More

We had to laugh when we asked Jackie where we could eat and she pointed out the two pubs next door. We had already noted a trend during our travels around Ireland. As you enter the towns you first see the church, then the pubs. The B & B was very clean, seemed quite new and the meal was wonderful.... More

Very well kept B&B, large and very tidy room(s), lovely breakfast, very nice host (Jackie). Though Gurteen is "off the beaten track" there are several nice pubs near the B&B. Nice meals available next door in the Crossbar Pub & Restaurant. Absolutely brilliant as well: The Coleman Traditional Irish Music Centre with great music events and concerts!

THe B&B is very new and clean. All rooms look pretty nice and are well decorated in a modern style. Breakfast will be fresh prepared by the owner and the breakfast room is very nice and modern. The short distance to Sligo (approx. 30 min.) gives access to a high variety of different restaurants.

Stayed here during the Coleman Traditional Music Festival ... clean, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely residents sitting room with ample reading matter and TV. Contemporary decor of a high standard ... friendly, smiling owner and delicious breakfast with a good selection ... well cooked and presented. So much thought and substantial investment has gone in to the design of this B&B... More

Every thing you could ask for in an Irish B & B. Immaculate rooms, wonderful Irish breakfast, attention to all details by host Jacci Conlon. We were booked in for six days to enjoy the hospitality of the west of Ireland and our special Irish relative. An absolutely perfect stay...plus there are three pubs within walking distance and the Michael... More

I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend some time in Gorteen. The building itself is nicely renovated, our room was spacious, super clean and bathroom was big enough. The breakfasts were delicious and Jacci, our host, has always had a smile for us in the mornings! I also have to recommend the restaurant right next to... More
