Third year here at the start of the season and this time stayed in the 'main part' of the whole Village Montana complex. It looked like it had just gone thro' a bit of a refurb with carpets etc in the corridors. had two apartments, one bed room one and a one bed with cabine. Everything there that you needed... more

Unfortunately, the Tripadvisor reviews for "Village Montana" have gotten a bit confusing because there are 3 different Village Montana buildings all reviewed together here. We stayed in the "Residence Village Montana" apartments, which are different from the Montana Soleil and Montana Valbel units. We stayed in the 35-square meter one-bedroom plus cabin apartment. One (very small) bedroom has two twin... more

Hotel was good but a few silly problems like no light bulb in the bathroom, but quickly fixed. Staff very friendly. The only bad issues we had is that our room was next door to the boot room, on the ground floor, so therefore, had a lot of banging of boots (to remove snow) on metal grate before you enter... more

We stayed in the newer part of the apartment complex and I really have no complaints. We had a 2 bedroom apartment for the 4 of us and the living area, kitchen area and bathroom were all we needed. We also had a balcony overlooking the street with the slopes just behind that. In the morning, you cross the road,... more

Went to Val Thorens second week of the easter holidays as a group of 3, i.e. parents and 6 year old. Stayed in a one bedroom + cabine apartment, (35 sqm) in theory sleeping up to 6 people (4-yes, 6-No). Village Montana has 3 buildings, the Valbel and Montana (our building) are right on piste, but the Soleil is across... more

How this apartment complex can rate itself 4-star is absolutely beyond me. I stayed in the original "Montana" building which, I assume, is the oldest of the Montana residences. This may explain the dreadful standards. The apartments are tiny and the use of the limited space is a joke. Virtually no wardrobe or shelf space provided. This is ridiculous when... more

There are 3 residences within the "Village Montana" and we stayed at "Valbel" apartment number 42 for two weeks. For a family of 2 adults and 2 children the set up was larger than expected. Kitchen is small but surprisingly functional and well equipt. Note - whilst a coffee maker is supplied there is no kettle for making tea. Bathroom... more

Great hotel, right next to the pistes, so you can ski in/out with zero fuss. It's also not too far from the parking lot, as you can't park in town. Val Thorens is an excellent ski resort, connected to the Trois Vallees, but because it's so high altitude, it's great for snow when there's not much elsewhere. (but don't forget... more

I have recently returned from a weeks snowboarding in Val Thorens and just had to write how great The Village Montana is. I booked the apartment, ski passes and car parking directly with the hotel via their website. This was very easy to do, although the confirmation is in french - thankfully my girlfriend can read french so we were... more

Just got back from a 7 night stay over Xmas period. We had a party of 13 in 3 seperate rooms. All groups found their rooms clean, well equipped (although no kettle) with good views of mountains and slopes. We found VT expensive so ate out only three evenings. The kitchen facilities provided were useful for breakfast and a few... more
