This hotel is good if you dont want to spend too much money on accomodation. It is perfect if you know you'll be spending the majority of time in the slopes or elsewhere and dont mind your hotel to be a bit shabby. The room was quite small and not very clean upon arrival but if you're used to staying... More

Ignore all the bad reviews for this hotel - we'll be heading straight back next year so that probably tells you all you need to know. It's a budget hotel, and you wouldn't be looking at it if you were a millionaire so you should set your expectations accordingly. The staff were brilliant and welcoming even though we were early.... We stayed at the Tourotel at Easter 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Yes the accommodation is a bit old but the location is second to none. Our kids were in ski school and they were less than a minute on skis to the meeting place, the door from the ski room is right on the slopes, so close we... More

Stayed here last week of March, fantastic location just a stones throw from town and you can ski right from the door to the ski lifts. Rooms are small but pretty average for a purpose built ski resort. Definitely pay the extra for a balcony - the views are spectacular. I did laugh when I saw the bath tub though... More

If you can fork out a bit more money i advise not staying here. They are very particular with the inventory and it's by far from a hotel. Pros - Clean, Able to ski to door. Cons - Tiny rooms, rude reception, old school inside, old building, no wifi.

Just returned from ski week in Val Thorens & decided to write review having read previous poor ones about Tourotel Apts which had made me nervous. The 2 person studio we had was very clean, all equipment present and functioning, warm and lots of hot water post ski. The balcony view was fantastic, glass of wine and camembert watching sunset... Stayed here for a week great location for slopes and lifts, standard hotel as all you need is a room to sleep in, couldn't complain. Room smelt a little funny, like dry beer and fags but we brought our air fresheners from past experience. 5 mins from all the bars and restaurants and right next to the lift so you... More

I stayed here with a few friends in February 2015. On balance, it would've been well worth it to pay a little more for something better. As others have noted, it has some definite advantages; it's very cheap, it's easy to ski in and out, and it's quite close to nightlife and restaurants. But even having lowered our expectations due... Where do I start with this awful excuse of a hotel (Cesspit)? Upon arriving at reception we were informed that the previous group had ‘trashed’ the room, so there was no TV in the room, the dishwasher didn’t work & the electrics were prone to fusing the room. No replacements were provided at all. To make matters worse they then... More

Very much a place to lay your head and not do much else. The whole building is tired and the 2 bed accommodation is tiny. A particular downside was the mini bath that must only be 1100mm long. One of the main things I like to do after a day of skiing is relax in the bath with a beer,... More
