We stayed at the Paquis for a week in a family 'suite': inter-connected double and bunk rooms, each with bathroom. Smallish rooms but really cosy-wooden bunks v well done. Lovely view from the balcony. Excellent food (we found the English translations of the menu hilarious). Really tasty meals. V friendly service. Convenient ski locker and heated boot racks. Quiet free... More

When we booked our stay we were drawn in by lovely photo of a nice room with wooden panels, very mountain location like. When we arrived the room we received did not resemble anything like what the brochure was saying. Concrete walls, could hardly move in the bathroom. My partner speak French and we asked if there was another nicer... More

We stayed at the hotel in mid January 2014 and were quickly checked in and allocated a room on the second floor. The room itself was adequate and clean. It consisted of two single beds and a bunk bed above. The two single beds were pushed together, however don’t expect them to stay this way for long as the slightest... More

We stayed over the Christmas week of the 21st-28th December 2013. We arrived fairly early in the day, and we were greeted by the daughter of the hotel. She kindly showed us to our room, and although the room was small, we had a great view of the mountains and the nursery slope across the road. The room was just... More

We have just returned from a Christmas skiing week in Tignes having stayed at the Hotel Paquis. This hotel is exceptional. The hotel is very rustic/traditional with comfortable bedroom rooms (we had a south facing room with balcony, plus multi-channel TV – including BBC1 & 2), it’s close location to the main lifts/pistes, has excellent food & service, friendly/helpful hotel... I stayed here a few years ago and remember the food being excellent and the rooms needed a make over. This has now happened, the rooms are much nicer, but the food was quite average and what was really annoying is that if there are two of you in a double or twin room, one gets free wifi and the... A very welcoming hotel close to the slopes. Room small but spotlessly clean with bath and shower. Meals excellent quality and quantity. Very good ski lockers. Nice spa. Staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly return.

Our first time to Tignes, I have to be honest, my heart sank as we entered the resort. Great slabs of characterless apartment blocks probably built in the 70's that were more suited to 'city' than ski resort. The end of March, there was still loads of snow ,though, and in fact it was snowing hard as we arrived. At... More

This family run hotel is a brilliant place to stay in Tignes. It's only 1 minute walk down the road to access the slopes and is only 2-5mins from bars and restaurants. It's excellent value, has recently been refurbished and the food is of excellent quality. Rooms are quite small but that's all you need in a skiing hotel, with... More

We stayed in Le Paquis for the second time having booked a ski holiday independently. The hotel staff remembered us and left some lovely food in the room for us when we arrived late. The room was small but nice and warm, with decent beds and a good shower. We took the half board option. The food was great, you... More
