Having stayed at the Curling some 14 years ago for our Honeymoon whilst it was French owned, we couldn't believe it when we saw it available through Crystal. We booked and then looked at the reviews. Im so glad we didn't take any notice of the negative ones - the only valid point was the noise from the other bars... more

My boyfriend and I spent a lovely week in Tignes last week and we both enjoyed our stay in Le Curling. After having read some so-so reviews, I was a bit worried (and did take earplugs with me as I am a light sleeper). However I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, the room was adequate, the food was very... more

We stayed in the Curling hotel the last week of February 2009. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried staying here; however I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes the accomodation is basic, but matches the price. The location is great, as it is very close to the slopes (you can ski back to the hotel), the... more

My boyfriend and I booked this in early Feb, and after reading a few reviews we were a bit skeptical but were pleasantly surprised. I would be interested to speak to people who have written bad reviews on this place to see whether they have ever been satisfied with a skiing hotel. What you get is what you pay for,... more

This hotel is ideally situated just a 2 minute walk from the main chair lifts but the added bonus is the funicular railway which takes you straight up to the glacier, 10 minutes and you're at 3100m and at the top of some great reds, blues and off piste if you fancy it. The hotel itself is a little tired... more

We only booked this hotel because we got a good deal and thought "mah, it's just a place to stay" so we expecting this hotel to be cheap and run-down but we were pleasantly surprised to find out it had so many plus points; Food – expertly cooked! Location – easy access to slopes/lifts and bars. Hotel staff – lovely... more

Location: Great for skiing as you can practically ski right to the door (but only if you're on hire skis). There are lots of ski hire shots just a few metres away. We used Sport 2000/Sport Glisse who were very efficient and gave us some great equipment, but there was also Ski Republic and Ski Set just across the road.... more

Hi We have just got back from a trip to Tignes and after reading some reviews i was getting a little worried about the hotel. Yes the rooms are in need of a def up dating and no the TV didn't work, but who wants tv anyway. The rooms were a really good size and they are clean. So for... more

In a nutshell, Le Curling is a fairly run-down and outdated hotel, but the staff are very friendly and helpful which makes up for it. Our party did have to report various broken fixtures during the week e.g. toilet, hairdryer, but they got fixed promptly. Seems like the place is held together by sticky tape! The place can be very... more
