Have stayed at the Aigle twice, first time was on it's opening season and second time was December 2013. Both times we had a very enjoyable stay and met some great people. The rooms are small but everything works, plenty of hot water, reasonable beds and clean sheets and towels. Both visits the food was OK, nothing horrendous but nothing... More

We stayed with Alpine Elements at the Hotel Aigle in August 2014. This attractive chalet-style hotel is a short walk from the centre of Tignes le Lac. Rooms are simply furnished but comfortable and clean with modern bathrooms. Top floor rooms are more spacious and ours had lovely mountain views and a balcony (rm 33). The staff were consistently friendly... More

The week we stayed at this hotel it was entirely staffed and operated by Alpine Elements. It seems that the food selection, quality and staff service are entirely dependent on who is operating the hotel when you visit, as there are no permanent staff. Alpine elements sell this as a 4.5 rating hotel, but in reality this is a 3... More

We had the week commencing 5th April. With two families having two rooms each. Transfer time to Hotel - 4 hours from Grenoble to Tignes uphill. 2.45 return downhill no delays both ways GOOD POINTS: Cannot fault Jim and Nicola and their team who run the Hotel and the quality of the food. We had rooms 21 and 26 which... More

Just got back from a week with Skiworld. I understand much of the issues with transfer times over the last few weeks have been because of the French holidays and the surprisingly sunny weather. This has made the roads almost unbearable around Moutiers, causing painful delays in all directions. For the hotel/chalet we had a great week - likely helped... More

My partner and I booked through ski world. We had the longest transfer I've experienced to get to the hotel which started with a 90 minute wait sitting on the coach at the airport waiting for other flights to land and fill the seats! I had been told we should get to the hotel at 1pm and whilst we landed... More

This was sold to us as a four star hotel. Hmmm. Not really. Zero soundproofing meant sleepless nights. Don't bother unpacking - there is no where to put your stuff. Beds were very poor quality. Pillows? Maybe from a prison. Room lighting was so dingy my wife had to use her phone light to put on make up. Lobby area... More

We booked this fairly last minute as there was a great deal on the Skiworld website. The great points are location, chalet staff and the food!! The rooms are small and clean but have everything you need and its a 'chalet style' lodge so you arent supposed to spend that much time in the rooms. We were a party of... More

Stayed at the Aigle, Tignes with my wife, two children aged 8 and 10, in August and a friend with her two sons. The holiday was faultless. It was our second time with Alpine Elements and previously we visited Morzine. The kids' club was superb and our children were delighted to have the same kids' club rep as they had... More

My husband and I had a brill time in Tignes. We were lucky with the weather and the Hotel was great. The rep in the Hotel was excellent and very helpful. The quiz night he organised was very good. The walks around the local area were beautiful. The room we had was very clean and comfortable and everyone of the... More
