My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March so we could ski "Le Grand Massif". The hotel is located in the town, not near the parking for the ski station. Upon arrival, we were not given any information about the hotel or the town. Someone came out from the bar to check us in. Our room was... More

The hotel is dated and was curiously quiet and uninviting to people coming in off the street to the bar so lacked atmosphere. However the position is perfect in the centre of town and the views from our room were fantastic. The room was old fashioned and quite small for the price we paid. It was spotlessly clean though and... More

This is a family run very friendly hotel. I stayed in this hotel for six nights last week with my son and 2 grandchildren We had a family room that was more than adequate. The beds were very comfortable and the décor of both bedrooms and bathroom to a good standard. This is a 3 star hotel in the mountains... More

We booked a room via Booking.com for 2 adults and 2 teenage sons (both over 12 years of age). The "family room" we were allocated had an upstairs area with two single beds. Neither of the boys could fully stand up without banging their heads. (We mentioned this on our departure - to be told that we should take this... More

All hotels are not born equal, some hotels are in the french alps while others are in industrial areas. So initially i was expecting to rate this hotel relatively high. Then I tried to sleep. Apparently there were some Brits staying in the room next to me, because I could hear every word of their conversation, all night. Of course... More

Just got back from a fantastic 4 night stay at this hotel. Fantastic location right in the centre of the village. It is very close to the ski bus stop but only a pleasant 10 min walk to the Grand Massif Express lift if you don't fancy getting the bus. The quadruple family rooms were great as they have a... We are just coming to the end of our stay at Hotel Les Glaciers, Samoens, France. Excellent location within walking distance of grande massife free ski bus. Hotel is very welcoming, the staff couldn't do enough to help. New Year's Eve meal was excellent superb cuisine typically french. Children are more than welcome and the meals and facilities child friendly.... More

For a 3 star skiing hotel the rooms are quite spacious. Location is right in the centre of town but a bus ride from lift station. BUT early evening they ran out of hot water, the wifi is a joke, the phone in the room didn't work and only French channels on TV. Not acceptable nowadays. Restaurant excellent and staff... More

Stayed at Les Glaciers for a weekend ski trip in January 2014 with a couple of mates. Location excellent, at one end of the main street, close to the ski bus stop (the main ski lift is a half km out of town). Service very friendly and helpful. Simple but good breakfast. Comfortable bar (no lounge). Clean and comfortable room.... More

Okay, where to start..... The bottom line is that if you want a clean, reasonable, well located, base for skiing and aren't too bothered about an early night or a lie in then this is the place for you. If you want more, you'd better read on. Upon arrival we were greeted by the reasonably friendy lady of the house... More
