Its a huge building full of apartments. Location is great, you can be on the slopes right beside the hotel. Truth is, that this side of Alps is the smaller part of slopes available. But you still can ski to the other side, dont need bus, or the stairs. Takes time, yes: you can count 45 minutes to get from... More

Been here twice, It's by far not as bad as people review it! It's a typical French-style monstruosity (more than 10 floors!!!). The rooms have everything you need. But not a single extra thing or decoration or anything. They're clean. Most of the time the rest of the residence is full of noisy 16 year old guys doing their first... More

We got what we paid for I guess. It's not as horrendous as some of the reviews here suggest. But it's definitely not great either. Thankfully, the snow and the weather were sweet, so we had a great week regardless. Our room was actually quite spacious for 4 adults; it was clean-ish, had an oven, a stove, a dishwasher, a... More

Had to fork out £350 of hidden charges even though we had already booked through Crystal Ski. Part of this was for sheets for the bed! Never ever have I stayed anywhere where you had to take your own bed sheets and pillow cases! Too late, we had to pay their excessive charges. The hotel blamed Crystal, and guess what?... More

Stayed here for a week from 9-16 April 2011. On arriving, reception were efficient and we were in our room quick. Yes its 10euros for each set of bedding and the internet is 5euros an hour or 20euros for a weeks unlimited use - we couldn't get reception in our room which was a couple of floors above reception so... Got a bit panicky prior to our trip thanks to the tripadvisor reviews. Thankfully, it wasn't that bad. We booked everything separately (flights, accommodation etc) so chose Le Flocon d'Or primarily for the price. I was also swayed by the apparent ski-in, ski-out accommodation. Sadly, this was the first disappointment, although after doing a bit of research prior to actually... More

Rather hysterical reviews here. Having read the more negative comments we were wondering what to expect, but suffice it to say the more level-headed commenters were (thankfully) correct. Sure, it's a bit of a walk up and down the steps, but if you're on a skiing holiday you should be fit - it's a decent warm up and down for... More

We arrived and after queuing more than 1 hour we learned that everything was extra here. Towels, bed linen, TV, Wifi - you can easily pay up to €200-300 for quite basic things. The Wifi was available only around the reception (still quite slow) - no signal in your room. The TV is joke, old model with a monitor of... More

After reading all the reviews on here about this hotel I was dreading staying there. Much to my surprise it was easily accesed by the bus, staff were friendly and had a good level of english, the rooms were clean, and it was a good ski in-ski out for the money. There was no broken dishes, surly staff, vomit smelling... More

The turrets on the building give it a hint of Colditz ... Stayed here for a week on 5th Feb. Arrived at 8pm and the rep had got our room key and the linen pack sorted. Took our own towels just in case. Reception is rarely open although staff are behind the shutters and are ok, sometimes ..... once you... More
