I have mixed feelings about my stay in Hotel Valentin, having just returned from a week long holiday. We had a party of 4 on a B&B basis. Firstly, the owners are very pleasant and kind as is Stephanie who works behind the bar. There are a few female staff members that were rude. On our first morning we were... More

We would like to reply to your review as we find could be a little misleading. We are as you know a 2 star family run hotel so were somewhat surprised to read your comment on "looking for luxury" .... Your bedroom was however more than 20m² and the double bed is a standard 140 cm as I told you... More

We felt the warmth from the staff and the hotel as soon as we arrived! open plan bar with a really good selection of drinks, shown to our room by the owner, perfect for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) nice 3 course meal every evening with a good wine menu, we would retire back to... The hotel is located 30 m from the ski slopes and ski school, ski rental and restaurants are close. Staff is very friendly and helpful, always smiling and making you feel at home. There are two ski rental shops close to the hotel where you get a discount if you have a card from the hotel. We had half pension,... More

Alisa (and husband Vincent), the owners, are who you want on your side when things go wrong. Our luggage was not offloaded from our flight and without her intervention phoning airports and couriers we would undoubtedly have lost more than 2 days of our ski holiday. She sat up until 12.40 am so that the courier could deliver our cases... More

The Hotel de la Valentin is a quiet hotel, deserving of more than its two stars. The location, staff and food are all comparable to the many four star chalets we have stayed in previously. In the evenings, a three course meal is provided at nicely laid tables, as well as an optional cheese board. This is a set menu,... More

Lovely welcome and given a choice of rooms. Excellent location. Seemed nothing too much trouble for owners Vincent and Alisa. All the staff helpful and friendly. Good choice for breakfast and afternoon cakes and tea after skiing by the fire. Even given tea, coffee and croissants on morning of departure at 5:30 am. Would definitely book again.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in March 2014. This is a fabulous hotel, run by a charming couple who made us feel very welcome right from the outset. The hotel is in a quiet location, set back from the busy main street that runs through the resort. The room that we had was spacious, warm and had... More

This hotel is a fantastic find. My wife and I and our three kids were lucky enough to stay over the New Year period and we are so pleased with our choice of hotel. Fabulous owners, Vincent and Alisa and all their staff make you feel so welcome that you almost feel a part of their family! Great location for... More

The acid test - would I stay Hotel de la Valentin again? Well, I was trying to arrange my next visit before I left (and would be there now if I could have found flights!). Valentin and Alisa (owners) and their entire team were always friendly, welcoming and very helpful. It was like being part of a family - but... More

This hotel is warm, comfortable and very clean. It is situated in a very convenient place- just a few metres from the Belle Etoile chairlift and it was possible to ski right back to the boot room! The food was tasty, well presented and plentiful. My room, 104, was spacious, with a balcony and in a very quiet and peaceful... More
