I went there with my husband for a short week on December, for New Year's Eve. The good points: it is quite well situated (you just walk down few stairs and you're in the town center - top part, though and not next to the ski departures yet) and the building is quite charming: traditional wood balconies, a very nice... We were quite impressed. The rooms are quite French village ski hotel - ie more pine than we'd choose - but the bed was comfortable, they were quiet, the staff were welcoming, breakfast was delicious and the views from the breakfast terrace, the room and the bar were awesome. Parking was easy and the location ( up a flight of... More

Went there during a bike trip in June. Hotel has underground and surface parking which was convenient for the bikes. Reception staff was extremely helpful in any possible way, and always happy to be there. Restaurant was excellent, refined cuisine with lots of small details. Friendly and courteous service. The bar is quite comprehensive and offers some super cozy seating... More

Probably the best overall ski resort hotel I've stayed in over 20 years of skiing. Bar room is classy and comfortable. Terrace is spectacular. Pool is gorgeous. Rooms are stylish. Breakfast and dinner top notch. Staff are very efficient and friendly. No complaints. We will return.

Stayed here at end of Feb 2014 with several friends. Hotel was well located, easy walking distance to lifts and close to several great restaurants. The breakfast was good, as was the dinner we had on our first night. I used the pool and it was large for a hotel, with plenty of loungers to relax on. The staff were... More

Just went to this hotel for a weekend. Did not have a waaaw feeling about this hotel, but it is ok. Clean, well organised, nice terrace and great breakfast. Everything you need for a ski break. You can even put your skis in a shop in the village, so you don't have to carry them every day. We had a... More

Stayed here for a week in half term. Very high up a hill, so every time you return from a day skiing you have to hike up lots of hills and then lots of stairs! However, being so high up the views of the mountains are totally magnificent! They also have a fabulous sun trap at the front of the... More

A cheeky weekend ski trip to la Clusaz. LCD is a great destination for a weekend ski trip. Short transfer and easy to use. Great variety of runs and no queues. We choose the Carlina on tripadvisor reviews, and I would say that they were close to the mark. Our room was very small, and beds not very comfy. The... More

Stayed here for a short skiing break over New Year. It's a warm, friendly hotel which is well positioned near the centre of La Clusaz, 400m from the slopes yet just far enough away from any passing noise. Our south facing rooms weren't huge but 'cosy' and clean and the bathroom/shower room looked brand new - excellent. The staff were... More

I just spent the last week at Hotel Carlina, again. The first time I stayed there was 20 years ago, and I have been going back on average every two years ever since. Trekking and relaxing with friends...enjoying the excellent food and wine list. Celine at reception is still charming and helpful as ever, and Jean-Luc, the owner, continues to... More
