We ski annually and each time we choose a different resort, I can confidently say that this is the best hotel we've stayed in so far! As we travel a long way to ski, we have to make the most of it and this time we spent 2 weeks at Chamois D'or on half board and thoroughly enjoyed every minute... More

We have just returned from a family holiday at this hotel. The rooms cost 585Euros per night for a double and 870Euros for a family room. Both rooms were tiny with no proper shower. The decor is dated. The walls are paper thin so we could participate in the next doors conversation. The family room bunk beds have a bar... More

I recently stayed here withy family whilst participating in the local triathlon and it couldn't have been better. We were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, even down to breakfast at dawn! I wish we could have stayed longer as we only stayed there for two days bit will definitely go back.

Stayed here during the Marmotte in July 2014. Really friendly staff who seemed to anticipate all the needs of cyclists coming for the event. Bike storage, early breakfasts and even a pre-ride day menu with extra white meat and pasta. Room (114) was compact, but plenty comfortable enough to get essential sleep. Very high quality furnishings and a general relaxed... More

Very good value for money, and cannot fault the delicious evening meals on half-board! The hotel is perfectly located by the slopes, and the staff are wonderful. Compared to a few hotels, you may find the rooms are a bit back to basics, but what do you expect from a mountain villa? Lovely picturesque view of the mountains from the... More

Stayed for five nights in January and can say is a great ski hotel to stay at with lovely large well designed comfy rooms with all mod cons and excellent food. In fact I was just on the phone to try and book for next week, but alas is fully booked and I will have to step down to the... More

This is a very warm and comfortable hotel, with spacious veranda as well a large comfortable living room with fireplace. The rooms large with huge tub in the bathroom, thick bath towels and robes. Food in the dining room excellent as well as breakfast in the bar area, the fresh squeezed orange juice wonderful. The hotel is just steps from... More

Wonderful stay the Chamois Dor for the La Marmotte cycle. Food was wonderful, fresh, heavy on vegetables with excellently cooked meat and fish. This is a family run hotel with staff who clearly care very much for the quality of stay enjoyed by the guests. Super comfy beds! We hope to return for winter and skiing!

I have just returned from a three night stay while taking part in the Marmotte cycle event. Very cosy and comfortable hotel with fantastically helpful staff. The hotel was very quiet however the food was good with offers of more carbs, the beds and rooms were on the smaller side but nicely and tastefully decorated and the spa was lovely... More

Lovely alpine hotel in less lovely resort. Astoundingly good service from staff and family that clearly care very much. Food is good, rooms, great and service excellent. Only gripe is that the free Wifi has a very weak signal in the rooms so almost impossible to use. Highly recommended.
