We stayed for a week in March for a ski trip and the hotel was great. Brilliant staff, family run, great food and they catered for two of us who are coeliacs perfectly, really understanding what we could and couldn't have. Whole hotel was really clean and we had our beds turned down every night! Pictures on the Crystal website... More

A perfect little ski trip to a wonderful ski resort. Le Castillan is located very close to a nearby chair lift so also very convenient. Although be careful if a beginner since the runs at the top are blues and reds, not greens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but had plenty of options. We never... We went skiing for 3 days in alpes d'huez and stayed here 4 nights, so it was an intense ski holiday. The hotel it is well situated with many restaurant in the vicinity (worth trying different places), supermarket 200 m away. The ambience is nice. The rooms are correct. The access to the slopes is limit ok, as the slopes... More

Good centrally situated hotel for access to the slopes and the centre of the village. Clean and comfortable rooms, not spacious but adequate. Stayed in smaller rooms at other ski resorts. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast which was a buffet style with a good selection. Private bar area was also available for residents. There was a sauna area in the basement... More

A lovely family run, friendly hotel in a great location with easy access to the slopes and the village centre. Amazing views from our bedroom, which had a lovely sunny south facing balcony and was well worth paying the extra for. A nice touch in the evening was the bed turn down service. The bar area was really nice and... More

Great hotel, really comfortable with small kitchen but enough for cooking or preparing fast meal. Smaller rooms but really cozy. Everything really close and great view for mountains. Thank you and recommend!!!

A real family run hotel that gives you the feeling and the benefits of such hotel. We enjoyed the hospitality of Stephanie , her husband and the others. Not a Ski In/ Ski Out per say - For ski out you need to walk less than 50m, BUT beginners will have difficulties to get to the chair lift, Ski In... More

This is the second time I have stayed here during the 2014/15 ski season. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms and facilities are basic but the location is a stones throw from booze and food.

Very good hôtel at all the levels (staff, rooms, lounge, calm, price, service, wifi ...) except the breakfast which lacks of hot variety. The hotel is 2 minutes walk for the tele-cabins leading to the main ski lifts and 5 minutes for the center of the village. A ski shop (friendly owners) is situated at its entrance and next to... I have been to this hotel three years in a row to ski, and it is everything you'd expect from a French ski hotel. Friendly staff, great bar, nice rooms - can't fault it. The best thing is the owners and staff are very helpful, polite and friendly and can't do enough to help.
