We recently spent a week in the Hotel Pic Blanc with a group of 20 for skiing. We were upgraded to a superior room that had fabulous views from our balcony. The room was of adequate size with a double bed and sofa bed. Nice bathroom with an deep tub and separate water closet. The closet was the smallest one... more

We too stayed here over the busy half term Feb holiday. We don't normally stay 3* unless we are forced, through family committments to travel during half term hols. French 3* hotels are normally very basic so this one was a welcome surprise. The hotel was packed and there were lots of French people on holiday too (welcome change from... more

Stayed here over the very busy half term holiday. Some 3 star hotels aspire to be 4 stars ones, others are no better than a travelodge ( though these are pretty good in themselves ) but le Pic Blanc is a true 3 star hotel - not great but not bad. We had a superiour double room. It was quite... more

Alpe D'Huez: Pic Blanc Hotel . Date: Feb 2008 After several years of skiing trips, my husband and I (late 40's) were disappointed with the hotel. Although it was immaculately clean, breakfast was 'hit and miss' and the food was nothing special. The room itself, like the hotel, was very clean and practical and the views, especially from the dining... more

Great Hotel. Service was a little formal but excellent nonetheless. Food was far better than expected for a half board hotel - completely changed my opinion of "free food" in fact. The view from our balcony was so incredible I had the photo blown up and mounted at home. If I had any criticism it would be that this place... more

We have stayed at this hotel several times now and we have always been happy with the accomodation. The staff are friendly and helpful, food is good and in general the hotel is clean. The room are a bit on the small side, but then we were there to ski not sit in our room admiring the decor. The location... more

Stayed here 3 years ago so picked again but not so happy this time. Breakfast buffet limited and staff slow to replenish (needed to ask several times). Kids running around throughout dinner and no attempt made by staff to split those with / without kids into the 2 dining rooms. Evening meals ok. (Had a very limited menu the night... more

This hotel is an excellent choice for his location and facilities. On arrival we were given a lot of information by a friendly receptionist, who than was very helpful to recommend and book for us a restaurant nearby which was a really good choice. Our room was bright... more

We stayed at the Hotel Le Pic Blanc for 4 days while on a follow the Tour bicycle tour. Overall, I give this Hotel an above average rating, with one cavet. We had group breakfasts and 3 group dinners at the hotel, and the resturant is not up to the level of the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was what... more
