Went with my uni group in jan 14 for a skiing trip. The rooms are very small but clean and bathroom is a good standard. It can be a little loud but it is to be expected in a cheap residence. Extremely close to the lifts (2min walk) and same to the ski hire/supermarket. Around a 10/15 minute walk to... More

The location is brilliant 5 minutes to the ski hire & supermarket 5 minutes to the piste (marmottes 1 lift) 15 minutes to the main bars Iglu, Smithys Etc Our room slept 4 in two bunk beds and then a sofa bed. We had a microwave, fridge/freezer, hob & dishwasher. We had a beautiful view out the back & at... More

I agree whole-heartedly with the other July 2013 review. My husband and I were also here for the Tour de France. We almost missed it, though. I didn't get around to making a hotel reservation for around 2 weeks after the route was announced and the hotel rooms were totally booked up already. I worked with Stuart at Zenith Holidays,... After seeing all of the poor reviews that had initially worried us I decided to write our view. Yes the accommodation is basic, But it had everything we needed for our holiday, The reception were very helpful, the opening times are displayed and did not cause us any issues. The wifi is in the games room but we were told... More

Let me start by saying I am a student, so my expectations were already low but this place probably should not even be running. The only good thing was the location, near the pistes. Other than that I have never been anywhere so bad. It was dirty. The staff were horrendously arrogant and unhelpful. One came barging into the room... More

This place is cheap and it's cheap for a reason. The place hasn't been updated in a long time. You are given disposable linen which erupts in a sea of electrostatic sparks when you put them on the bed but for 10 euros you can have cotton. You have to supply your own bathroom and kitchen towels. The facilities in... More

The apartment we stayed in was stuck in the 1970s in terms of decor. Like most apartments of it's type it is on a self clean basis so we probably left it cleaner than it was when we arrived! Les Bergers is great for access to slopes and the commercial centre for lift passes and ski hire, but still lacks... More

L'Alpe d'Huez is a great skiing area and a very nice skiing village with a lot of things to do. Very good and long slopes and nice restaurants. Our accommodation was really simple and the hotel was really old but you only went to sleep there in the evening. A lot of noisy young skiers also. All in all a... More

Old buildiong, crappy furnitures and mattresses.there was old chewing gums stuck in the living room, the cleaning wasnt made when we arrived. I was coughing all night until my friend vaccuumed cause I was sleeping with billions of mites. There is a total absence of service. We were given disposable sheets and had to pay for the towels. only good thing is... More

Where to start? This place is seriously down-at-heel and needs a complete renovation. When we arrived there was no WIFI in the residence, but since they have installed WIFI in the "games room" only. This is a classic French fudge of just shelling out for one router, which will not have sufficient bandwidth to cope with the demands placed upon... More
