Our group of three stayed at the Chateau de Divonne for one week, which was the venue for a meeting one of us was attending. This review would have been a 3 star one if not for what happened on our last day there. The room was very big with a beautiful view, but needed some refurbishment. The reception staff... more

Chateau De Divonne was a dream come true! Our room was amazing, with period furniture overlooking the Swiss Alps. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, they couldn't do enough to help us! Very quiet the week we were there, truly an amazing vacation. You must rent a car if going here though. Breakfast every morning was amazing too, well... more

This is the second time I have stayed at Chateau De Divonne, the first was in September 2008. Both times, I found it to be a very special place to stay. This is due to two main things, the chateau itself with its lovely rooms and the staff. The staff, while unassuming, have been very alert and responsive to my... more

We stayed at Chateau de DIvonne for two nights during our honeymoon. If we had not stayed in some very beautiful hotels the previous days, I would have cried! The Chateau is lovely on the outside, but on the inside...my God! Chateau: In a very lovely location, with a very nice view. The entrance is OK, but when you climb... more

We have a friend living in Divonne and wanted somewhere comfortable and luxurious for a few days away whilst visiting her and being shown the sights. We chose the Chateau from excellent reviews and were very disappointed. On a good note the staff were charming and the bed was very comfortable. We chose a superior room which was dark, with... more

The hotel is truly fairytale like. What a beautiful setting. The view from the terrace are spectacular, at anytime of the day. Our room was decorated to a very high standard with a spacious and always very clean bathroom. We did dine in the Mitchelin star restaurant on one occasion. Yes, it was a wonderful experience, the food was first... more

Having visited the Chateau many times before, my expectations were high and I was not disappointed. The chateau has a beautiful location in the foothills of the Jura, looking toward Lake Geneva. Spend some time to soak in the view on the large terrasse. The rooms are spacious and have the old world charm you would expect. The staff were... more

Okay, it was a few years ago, but our stay at Chateau De Divonne was one of the more memorable hotel experiences of my life. The 7 course dinner was brought to our suite course-by-magnificent course. The wine list was filled with premium examples of what wine should be. And the suite was absolutely divine. 15 foot ceilings. HUGE, luxurious... more

During a recent "chateau hopping" trip to France, we stayed at Chateau de Divonne and were terribly dissapointed. Upon our arrival the first thing to catch our attention was the awful smell. The lobby area smelled of dog urine and this smell would grow stronger in certain areas of the chateau. We were shown to our rooms, which were definitely... more

For those with access to a car looking for a more relaxed experience, staying at Divonne-les-Bains is a great alternative to overnighting in Geneva itself - it's only 15 minutes away from downtown when the autobahn isn't jammed. The Chateau is a renovated 18th to 19th century country residence full of charm and character, with all the modern amenities available... more
