My friend and I stayed here for only one night on our tour of Provence and really enjoyed it. Found it in the Rick Steves guidebook. A good mid-range hotel in a nice little town in the Cotes-du-Rhone area of Provence. It is right on the central square in town. You can park your car for a limited time in... More

The hotel is on the main square in Vaison la Romaine, close to everything in the town. Beautifully equipped room, very comfortable size. The place is a rabbit warren - small, but still easy to get a little confused about where the rooms are. But the reception staff is very warm and there is lots of reading material and artworks... We wanted to stay right in Vaison for the Tuesday market. Burrhus is right on the market square, which our room overlooked. Very helpful folks at the front desk, with recommendations on where to shop and eat. Room was good size and very clean. This was an excellent base for exploring the village and surrounding towns.

We stayed in the Hotel Burrhus towards the end of a tandem tour around Provence and Mont Ventoux. The hotel is ideally located in the middle of Vaison, surrounded by bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent (very important for cyclists!). The very convenient garage for bikes with... More

We enjoyed this hotel, especially the art all over the place. The bed was a standard double but comfortable. The bathroom had a bath with a shower but no screen or curtain. We would have slept better if we had worked out that there was air conditioning in the room, which there was, and could therefore have shut the window... More

I'm in two minds about this hotel. It's clearly been carefully designed with well chosen and stylish furniture and decoration, but the actual fabric of the hotel is basic and simple. Perhaps it's like an Ibis hotel with an elevated design sense. I was here on a bicycle tour, and I found the first room I was given cold and... More

Very well located on the market square but no parking made this an unnecessarily difficult place to stay. Rooms are fine and there's nothing particular to say. Parking was a nightmare though as it was market day, watch out for that! We were on a group cycling trip so didn't have any choice.

You would have to be dead not to enjoy staying here for a few days. Terrace, overlooking the main square, is a wonderful place for a beer in the late afternoon and for an excellent breakfast in the morning. Staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Good selection of restaurants in the square and Roman ruins 5 minutes walk away. Great... More

Fell in love with the town of Vaison la Romaine. This is definitely a quirky, art deco type hotel with a lot of unique character that some would love and others would not. The rooms aren't standardized so you won't know what you're getting until you get there. We requested a quieter room towards the back of the hotel as... More

This hotel is right on the main square with a deck one story up looking over the action. There are lots of stairs if that's a concern beginning right when you arrive. It's a maze of hallways and rooms with very unique artwork and designs in each room. We got a huge spot right over the deck and plaza. Our... More
