We have given this lovely little hotel an excellent despite some minor issues. A very warm welcome from the delightful English-speaking Lisl. took us to our very atmospheric rooms. Our son's looked out to the mountains, ours onto a picturesque little courtyard with fountain. He had stayed here previously and enjoyed it then. The location is brilliant; it really is... More

Two years ago we ate lunch there and decided we need to spend a night there. This summer we did! It was gorgeous: the ambience of the renaissance building, the pool on the terrace overviewing the city, the perfect French dinner, the comfortable beds!

We stayed at Le Beffroi as part of a 10 day bike trip. We stayed in the room that was the first one on the right going up the stone steps. Those steps can be tricky; they are very worn and can be slippery! The room was a corner room and had plenty of space for us with a queen... More

Very nice renovated buildings in the old town. The rooms are spacious and cozy, the style shows respect for the historical place. The swimming pool isn't too large but more than enouh for a swim after a hot day. The view from the terrace is spectacular. Not so nice is the food. Breakfast is ok, but not impressive considering its... More

This hotel is located in the hillside of the medieval part of the town. The view is great from most rooms and from the charming little garden that serves as breakfast area and supplies fresh herbs to the superb hotel restaurant. The hotel and the whole area, with narrow cobbled streets, have a lot of charm. Our room was very... More

We loved our room at Le Beffroi. As in many French inns, or hotels most of the rooms are different. I think they would all be wonderful in this place. Some smaller than others, but certainly clean and cheerful. Breakfast was certainly adequate by American standards. The grounds are beautiful, and they even have a pool open during the summer... This is our second stay at the hotel, the first being two years ago. Both were for ten days as part of a bike group and we couldn't be happier. John and the staff would go out of there way to be helpful. The best part is hard to choose. Breakfasts were out on the patio - a great way... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. By European standards, the room was very large and the bathroom enormous. Both were well appointed and very nicely decorated. I think this hotel is rated as a three star hotel but I would give it a bit more. The only downside to the room, and... More

This hotel is up the hill in the old city of Vaison la Romaine. It was built in the middle ages, but was very comfortable. The rooms are furnished with antiques and had amazing views of the "newer" village below. The staff was very gracious and the breakfast was basic but good. If we had been there in warmer weather... We were only able to stay one night in Vaison-la-Romaine. Such a beautiful part of the world, and a very interesting and unique village. The hotel itself is lovely. Not at all difficult to find; we parked in a public space halfway up the hill to the upper village and lugged our bags to the front desk, about a 5... More
