First, we arrived quite late after being stuck in a nasty traffic-jam near Avignon, and didn't realize we needed to call - it took us a bit to find the place as it was dark and the streets are very dark, and the sign isn't lit - so we wandered a bit - though we were lucky enough to find... More

Aude and Jean-loup have a beautiful place. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh and healthy. They have books and art everywhere so you always have something neat to look at. Jean Loup was very good at giving us walk/ hike recommendations. We really enjoyed having his expertise with in the area. We went on a long... More

We regret spending only 3 nights at this lovely, beautifully decorated B&B which was once a bishopric. Located in Vaison-la-Romaine’s upper medieval city, we found it very quiet & atmospheric at night. Charming hosts Aude & Jean-Loup delight in suggesting places to visit; a truly lovely helpful couple. Delicious breakfasts were enjoyed on the terrace with views overlooking the lower... More

We stayed for two nights as a 'rest day' treat during a three week family cycling trip and having just come over Mont Ventoux. It was a great choice - a really special historic building filled with books and art posters. There was a safe courtyard for the bicycles and everything was easy to get to on foot - we... More

This B&B will always be special to us for all the care and help we got from Jean-Luc and Aude after having all of our belongings stolen in St. Remy. They helped us with everything we needed to do: calling the consulate to replace our passports, letting us use their computer to do all the research we needed to do... More

Vaison-la-Romaine was one of our favourite locations in France and a large part of this adoration resulted from the quaint, cute B & B, L'Eveche! Once a bishop's house, this bed and breakfast radiated charm. The location was perfect with plenty to see around the town. The couple that runs L'Eveche is extremely kind and will go out of their... What a wonderful experience it is to stay in this beautiful, quirky B & B that was once a bishop's house. We loved the location in the old medieval city above the river and yet still in walking distance of cafes and restaurants in the lower town. Vaison la Romaine is beautiful with many attractions and L'Eveche is the perfect... More

First visit to Vaison. Super Provençal town with magnificent roman remains which are beautifully preserved, and includes a great museum. Well worth a trip on its own. L'Eveche sits in the medieval part of the town, high on the once fortified hill. Bijou, elegant and reflecting the taste of its stylish owners. It is small, entirely in keeping with its... More

Our stay in this lovely bed and breakfast may be the most memorable of the entire trip. We were not prepared for the narrow streets of the old city and almost backed down. (There was no room to turn around!) Are we glad that we did not! The views from this lovely home were outstanding, and the dinner at nearby... More

Loved the beautiful "Bishops house" at the top to Vaison-la-Romaine. Many types of rooms to chose from so be sure to ask. Some are almost apartments. Lovely decor with library area reserved for guests to enjoy. We were with 10 friends and lots of places to gather. Amazing, delicious breakfast on the outdoor patio. Many good restaurants nearby and also... More
