6 of us from Callifornia stayed here. When we returned from cycling Galibier, Robin was ready at the bar with a beer to share cycling stories of Les Alpes. It is a warm and friendly place where guests gather, unless the day is so lovely that you just settle in the garden, gazing up at the glacier. A fabulous diner... More

La Grave is so beautiful. My husband and I arrived there with our 2 bicycles as we were riding Col Du Galibier. The hotel is very accommodating to bikes with plenty of space and storage. They offer a set menu for dinner (a few options for each course) and was accommodating to my 5 yr old nephew. The continental breakfast... More

A lovely place to stay at La Grave.particularly good for skiers (equiped with a room to dry and repair the equipment), but also nice if you just want to indulge, with a superb view of La Meije, sauna, and...excellent cellar! Great food to go with the wine.

As three decidedly amateur cyclists about to take on some Alpine climbs we decided to base ourselves at the Auberge Edelweiss in La Grave. even prior to our arrival Robin and Marlon, the owners, had helped us in understanding what climbs were open and which we're snow-bound. As amateurs this information was invaluable. Now to our stay, put simply, you... More

We were so lucky to get the last room. The lodge and staff are very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The lodge has a restaurant and small bar. We had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. Breakfast had fresh, homemade breads, cheese, sausages and ham, great coffee, tea; your basic European breakfast. Dinner was extremely filling and... More

I have been returning to La Grave for many years, and have stayed in a few of the hotels in the village, but always look forward to staying at Edelweiss. During my first visits to La Grave, I stayed at other hotels, and ended up eating at the Edelweiss in the evenings, whenever I could, to enjoy the great food,... More

My husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary at The Edelweiss. The rooms are lovely, warm and inviting, but it's the food, wine and company that get better with each trip. Owners Robin & Marlon sent us off to the slopes every morning after a breakfast comprised of fresh-baked breads and a fantastic spread. After a “best day ever”... More

I made a last minute booking at the Edelweiss in la Grave, not knowing really anything about it other than it had a room which I desperately needed. What a score! It is run by a couple from the UK who have lived in La Grave for many years and who made me, a solo traveller, feel immediately at home.... More

After one of the most epic days of cycling I've ever had, our Trek Travel guides took us to Hotel Edelweiss. I'm quite certain I needed a shower, but there I stood, just gawking at the view in front of me. A glacier-topped mountain spotlit by magenta God rays from a magnificent sunset. What are those brown dots on the... More

My wife and I stayed here one night at Hotel Edelweiss, finding it on Tripadvisor. It lives up to its very positive reviews. It is located off the main road which runs thru La Grave, and thus is quiet. Our room had a great view of the mountains. The outdoor courtyard where dinner and breakfast were served shares the same... More
