The hotel is build in 1934 and has this old, charming look. The reception and bar, eating area is recently remade and looks very good. The staff are very service minded and english speaking. My room was a little outdated, but has this rustic and charm from the older days. I had a good view to the port from the... More

The reception gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but we'd forgive anything for the beautiful view of the port and the blue Med from our balcony. The pool was great but I think in high season there may be an issue as not many loungers. The location is fantastic - couldn't be closer to the waterside bars... More

This hotel has a lot of charm and atmosphere. Yes it could do with a lick of paint and the bathrooms could do with being renewed, but it has a certain style and grandeur of days gone by. The staff were extremely helpful and we were able to park right outside the hotel without charge. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful Views Auberge de la Calanques offers rooms with beautiful views overlooking the port stacked with luxury yachts, but it's sadly a shadow of its former self. Years ago it was the grand hotel of Le Lavandou and only a few remnants of this still remain. The dining room is extremely spacious, but being only half filled with tables, there's... More

Beware of this place! In our room there were hundreds of ants coming out of the socket (see photo), making it impossible to accept it. We couldn't get another room, since the hotel was fully booked on that day, so we left to find another hotel. Still they took €150 from our credit card and are not willing to give... More

This property is not especially impressive on the outside, but the inside is very pretty and very spacious in all common areas. The rooms are nice and clean and adequate in size. The best part is the absolutely gorgeous view of the marina off the private balcony. It is well situated near the town and the staff could not have... More

We just stayed at this property (mid July). It is in an wonderful location. The room was clean and had a great view of the harbor. Staff Marianne and Bart were friendly and helpful and they spoke English. Breakfast was a good option as was the free parking. Internet only worked in the lobby area, but that was only issue.... Our second year running at La Calanque. It is very well located for town, beach and restaurants. Reception personnel are extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is Euro 10 has been improved since last year and is very competitive content-wise with cafes in town. Free parking at the hotel is limited, but spaces on the street going East are usually available,... More

We discovered this hotel last year, we were a little worried it might be a little tired and pokey. We loved it so much we returned this year, we were disappointed that it was booked out on one of our 3 available nights and we could only stay for 2. We take a large suite/room on the first floor that... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon 34 years ago and have spent 3 nights here in May to celebrate a milestone birthday. The town and port have expanded considerably but thank goodness La Calanque had not changed a great deal except for some internal redecoration and modernisation - nor does it really need to. Auberge really means inn or guesthouse... More
