Tranquil & friendly B&B with most amazing hill-top view. The hotel had own swimming pool as well as being a short walk to the sandy beach. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable and had own terrace. The couple running the hotel were charming too, which made our stay pleasant and relaxing.

All the reviews I have read so far are very accurate. I would like to emphasise the AMAZING view, complete tranquility of the hotel and it's environment (we saw wild boar munching the grass on the road up to the hotel), the lovely friendly young couple that own and run the hotel (and do a great job) - they are... Very reasonable price. Very helpful staff. Lovely buffet breakfast. Lovely quiet location. Would like to have spent longer. Plenty to do in the area. Visit Porquorelle while staying in this area. Lovely beaches in both places.

Hotel Azur is an oasis of beauty and tranquility. Perched on a hill across the main road in Cavaliere- Le Lavandou, it offers stunning views on the bay of Cavaliere and Cape Negre. Surrounded by eucalyptus trees, the pool is a great refuge in windy days when the sea is rough or not warm enough for swimming. The rooms are... More

This is one of those hidden gems. Location is perfect, with rooms and terraces overlooking the mediterranean. The hosts at the hotel are a wonderful couple and are always ready to help and offer information about the region. The breakfast outside under the shade of the eucaliptus trees is rich and nourishing. They also offer one of the largest pools... More

We stayed in this "hotel" early Sept for 4 nights. All the rooms are small and individual but are basically like a row of converted garages!!! As on previous reviews, you have NO privacy, as the rooms open onto the path-access for anyone, and anyone can look in. Also the walls are quite thin so we could hear the guy... More

There's nothing like being at a place to understand the reviews. Overall the Azur is uniquely situated with a wonderful view of Cavaliere Bay. It is quite alone and at first visit the drive up is steep and uninviting. But once there we appreciated the wonderful swimming pool, and after a while even the walk back up from the town... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for four nights. The hotel is located high above the coast line of Cavaliere, which is part of Le Lavandou, and contains mostly small "bungalows", each of which have one sleeping room and a bath room. These bungalows are furnished and equipped with all necessary equipment (including TV, if this is necessary).... More

We have stayed here for a fortnight each year for the past 5 years. The village of Cavaliere is delightful, as are most of the '12 beaches of Le Lavandou'. The hotel is set on a hill about half a mile inland with really stunning views of the Med and the Iles d'Hyeres in the distance. The hotel is basic... More

As for every family-owned hotel, the biggest chalenge is to find the right balance between the comfort of the guests and the expectation of the owners. Unfortunatelly, Mrs. and Mr. Graillet have still to learn how to do this... We booked the biggest room (60 sq.m.). The room is located in the former cellar of the main building. It is... More
