Loved this quirky, elegant, well appointed city hotel with its own quiet garden down by the river just a very short walk to the old town centre where there are restaurants, shops, market and castle. Very high quality bathroom bedding and fittings. Charming and helpful owners. Breakfast was delight. We highly recommend this hotel. Parking is available in the courtyard... More

We needed accommodation between Paris and Bordeaux and pre-booked three rooms at this lovely hotel and even lovelier township. The rooms were comfortable and very private. One room was a huge, ground floor room that opened to an enchanting garden. The other two were upstairs and also quite spacious and well appointed. Unfortunately we had to leave early so couldn't... We were making last minute reservations on a drive through France during August. Not a smart move, but it turned out to be lucky for us. This is a gem of a hotel. Our room was lovely and looked out over a private garden. We were within walking distance of the downtown of this beautiful small city. Parking inside the... More

We stayed here for three nights in October. The weather was not great but coming back to the hotel late afternoon/early evening for a couple of hours to relax was lovely. It was more like coming home then just checking in. The room we stayed in was a deluxe with tasteful decoration and an amazing shower. Tea making facilities were... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as a 'breathing space' stopover while travelling between two areas of France. While finding this small hotel can be a little tricky, on entering the foyer we were immediately won over by the chic charm, lovely common areas and general ambience. Our second floor room (no lift) was huge, imaginatively decorated (- in a... More

This hotel is a gorgeous boutique hotel near to the old town in Niort. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Due to flight delays we arrived after the reception closed but he arranged to return to check us in. He also provided a map of the local area so we could find nearby restaurants. Our room was on the... More

I stayed on the top floor. Rooms have A/C and you need it as the top floors are under the roof. If you want to open the window you'll have to tolerate the noisy traffic (very busy street with incoming traffic). Hotel has been tastefully restored in grey tones. Rooms are clean. The double comfort rooms on the top floor... More

Reception not the friendliest, no snacks or drinks avaiable. Hotel furnishings and rooms really well done but front rooms suffer badly from traffic noise.

This is a beautifully restored period hotel, which is typified by the grand entrance hall when you enter. The bedroom we stayed in was truly magnificent. It was large, modern and very chic, with the only downside being that the toilet was in a completely separate room from the shower and basin. The whole hotel, including the rooms are wonderfully... This is a really lovely boutique hotel. Doesn't look that remarkable from the outside but inside its elegant, stylish and charming. Our room turned out to be a big room that was a tiny annexe in the pretty courtyard garden away from the main house. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the air-con super powerful. The breakfast is fine... but... More
