Fine for an overnight stay. Easy to find (with SatNav) as we arrived in Calais from Folkestone very late at night. Good cheap parking available. Basic but workable. more

I stayed overnight at the Jacquard on my way back to England recently. Initial impressions were not good: the front entrance is not in use and I had to ask in the adjoining optician's to discover where the entrance was. There was a long and slow-moving queue at check-in and, though the desk clerk was friendly, he did not seem... more

Receptionist was helpful and spoke English so that was a good start. My room was clean and quite spacious (Enough for a 1-night stay) so I was happy about that. No tea/coffee facilities in the room so that's a disappointment. Plenty of places to eat nearby so all round it's quite a good place to stay. more

Convenient location, low prices, and an awfully nice young woman at the front desk. Um, that's about it. My first room hadn't been cleaned -- actually hadn't even been touched -- with an unmade bed and a water glass full of cigarette ends. Yuk! The very helpful desk clerk was mortified and switched me to another, which at least had... more

Memories of Calais Ville from my last trip in the early 80's made me a little nervous about staying in the town centre in a budget hotel for the sake of a night's sleep before catching the Eurotunnel. No need to worry. Apart from the fact that Calais centre has seen a complete facelift and feels modern and safe, Hotel... more

We loved the hotel. It is very basic but has very low prices also. It's located right in the city center with plenty of places to eat close by. Staff was very friendly and helpful. more

This hotel is a good place to stay for an overnight or 2 in the town centre of Calais. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are spacious, as is the bathroom. I stayed with my 2 daughters and we had 3 single beds, which were all comfortable. Breakfast is continental style and plentiful. There is a supermarket in the... more

We wanted a cheap hotel but centrally located for a weekend booze cruise. Having regulary stayed in Novotel & Mercure hotels in the UK we decided to opt for the Ibis. Usually you expect a hotel chain to be fairly similar no matter where you are but this hotel left a bit to be desired. The photo's on the Accor... more

Stayed here for three nights recently, very basic accomodation but very clean. Buffet breakfast adequate. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. No restaurant but a very good brasserie/restaurant very close which gives you a 5% discount if staying at the hotel. Car parking a bit of a nightmare as it is on street. At the time it was free from... more
