We stayed in this hotel overnight on our way home from Amsterdam, what a gem of a place it is. Great value for money. The owner made you feel very welcome. The room was gorgeous with lovely furnishings, the same as the bathroom. You wouldn't want to have a shower (although you could have one) with a bath like this.... More

We stayed for one night on our way to Normandy. The owner was an excellent host and ensured we had directions and a key given we were due to arrive very late after our train was delayed. The hotel is tastefully decorated and breakfast delicious. We will stay here again if passing through town and would recommend the stay to... More

We stayed here with our adult daughter on an overnight stay while visiting Calais for the shops and wine stores. Last time we came we stayed in a different, larger hotel, and this was heaps better. Sat nav took us to the door, and we were able to unload our overnight bags before we had to move the car to... More

Owners were very friendly, spoke good English, made us feel very welcome. We arrived early and we were not turned away. Parking in the next street which is a secure gated parking was good, but there is a charge of 8 euros/day. We were given a helpful map with a photo of the parking area, so we could easily identify... I am afraid to say I didn't manage to visit this B&B. I booked it, since it looked really beautiful. After booking, I emailed the owners twice with questions. They answered both times, making sure to note that the answers to my questions were already stated on the booking site I had used. I thought this was a little strange,... More

Hello I am very surprised to read your comment on your reservation! First of all, you are not happy about our communication in english, remember we are french. I do my best to write and speak english but sometime the communication could not be the best in english, for sure I'm more confortable in french . As you said, you... More

Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly welcome. Secure, gated parking 2 minutes walk away for an extra €8 - well worth it. Room was brightly decorated (Rome) with crisp white bedlinen, towels and complimentary toiletories. Beautiful roll topped bath with hand held shower. Free, quick wi-fi access. Coffee/tea machine. No television or phone... which was nice. Breakfast... More

We've stayed here before and will continue to do so when we stop over/visit Calais - it's a beautiful B&B with spacious, well-appointed, clean rooms, lovely owners and delicious breakfasts! We were travelling around France and on the day we stopped in Calais it was our wedding anniversary and the owner very kindly upgraded us to his best room -... More

After reading reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to use this B&B as an overnight stop on our way to Amsterdam, and also on the return journey. After checking in, we parked our car in the secure car parking area in the next street. Le Cercle is a beautiful old house, formerly used to make lace, and the hosts were charming.... More

Rightly or wrongly, and despite its history, Calais is not the most inviting destination for a one-night stay at the end of a fortnight in this beautiful country. We have tended to stay close to the harbour in previous years and stays in chain hotels have often felt like 'pay back' - with Hen parties, Stag nights and drunken French... More

With two teenage daughters we booked the family room (2 bedrooms) and found this an ideal stopover for a night. Breakfast was great including fried eggs and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and works out the same price as two rooms in a premier inn style hotel.
