We have stayed here 3 times - a trip to France would not be complete without a stay at this great wee hotel. It is spotlessly clean, simple 10 minutes from the ferry, quiet, and within walking distance to some great restaurants. The owner Benoit, is always friendly and helpful, and knows a lot about the area. Very easy to... More

If you want somewhere like the Ritz, go to the Ritz. This hotel is nothing like the Ritz. BUT; if you want somewhere that is fantastic value, where the owner is the most polite frenchman i've ever met, and really cares about his customers, this is the place for you. It's basic, but everything is spotlessly clean if a bit... More

We stayed overnight at Hotel Particulier Richelieu the night before travelling back to the UK. The hotel was very easy to find, central and clean and tidy. The owner is renovating the property and it is basic but clean and comfortable and very good value for money. We were given a map of the area and lots of information about... More

Excellent value. This is a great place to stay if you are taking the ferry. We were very late to arrive at the hotel, but the staff waited for us and were very friendly when we arrived. The breakfast was good, rooms were clean and comfortable, parking was convenient and the price for the room excellent. It is a no... More

We stayed and use this as a base for four nights whilst we discovered France. It's clean, and provided us with everything we needed, in a great location and even though the property is under renovation the rooms where decorated with care and made you feel at home!

This hotel is still undergoing refurbishment, so some public areas are still in need of renovation. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom large and well equipped with toiletries and hair dryer. There is a kettle with tea/coffee supplied. The hotel is very convenient for both the town centre, with it's' many restaurants, and is also approximately a 10 minute... More

We stayed here for one night on a Eurotunnel crossing. The reception lady was pleasant and helpful and spoken a good level of English whilst giving me chance to try out my bit of French! Parking was outside on the street, although they do have a gated yard, it was full when we booked. The street area was perfectly acceptable... More

We arrived at about 5.00 and were met with a notice on the door saying if locked to ring the number given. Before we could get the phone out the owner was there opening the door with a smile. Our original booked room was on the third floor and as there is no lift he happily changed this for a... More

The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, well appointed but needed renovations (the hotel was under renovations) . It faced the park and had an accessible balcony. The continental breakfast was very good. The hotel is close to restaurants, and the beach and some historical monuments are nearby. Unfortunately, we were woken up at 4am by loud... More

We came back to the Richelieu having visited on a number of previous occasions and found that the service is excellent as always. The location of the hotel is excellent for a great evening out in Calais and we discovered on this occasion that you are within walking distance of the beach and citadel which provide a nice distraction if...
