This hotel is an ideal low cost hotel for ferry or rail crossing to and from France. The hotel is situated on a quiet street with plenty of free off-road parking right in the centre of town. The hotel is in a perpetual state of renovation, but the rooms are clean, quite large and quiet. The owner is most friendly... More

The owner, Benoit, was very helpful, even texted us whilst on route with details of how to get in the hotel. The place is being renovated but our room was very satisfactory.,warm as it was January. Great shower. If we had been there in springtime there was a lovely little balcony overlooking the park. Parking was available but we had... More

We had a very nice stay and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fresh and bright with nice clan bathroom and towels. Very important! Nice breakfast with fresh rolls and croissants. Will go again. The hotel is being restored so natural wood etc. Close to everything!

Only a 10-minute walk from main train station, only a 30-minute walk to the Dover ferry! Also, located across from a park, and off main roads, so it was quiet. Rooms are simple but also quite spacious! Benoit, the caring owner, was waiting for me as a late arrival, and helped me later by returning the battery charger I had... More

Owner really was a nice guy, but seemed tired. Stayed for a night before travel to UK. I know that the place was undergoing refurb, but needs help to get this done quickly. Felt like I had made a mistake when I got to my room. Off street parking is good. I left early in the morning (when no one... More

Had a one night stay for two adults..initially struggled to find it as there is no hotel sign or name on the front..very welcoming owner undergoing some drastic renovation at present. We had a room on the 3rd floor at the rear of the hotel. The room was very very basic and slightly overwhelming by how basic it was (not... More

Stayed here whilst cycling solo from Lancashire to Sicily in May 2014. Great intro to France and made really welcome by Benoit the host at this charming B&B. Very drab exterior hides a quant and nicely restored interior. The rooms are simple but comfortable and Benoit makes sure that you are well fed at breakfast before cheerfully saying au revoir!... A warm welcome, a helpful owner and a hotel that he clearly loves. It's a traditional building that he is restoring and the rooms are decorated individually. Nice bed linen and clean rooms. The addition if toiletries and tea making facilities make this hotel stand above others in the same price bracket. Stayed twice and both occasions very great.

This is the second time we've stayed here on a wine run from the UK. True, it's not 4 star, but that's not you're paying for. M. Benoit is a very good host, and does his best to make his guests feel welcome. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and clean, with either a bath or shower and tea and... More

First impression is a shock to the system as the exterior is drab and situated opposite a park where some dubious characters seemed to be lurking. Inside the friendly owner advised us either to lock our van in his secure , small yard (fee applies) or remove everything before leaving it in the street. Our bedroom was very small, clean,... More
