We stayed here for the night on December 17th for our 2 day pre-Christmas visit to France to stock up on Christmas goodies (the huge Auchan) and good wine (Majestic Warehouse - order wine in UK, collect on arrival there). The hotel was virtually empty but was clean, comfortable and everything in the room worked. Breakfast was very pleasant. We... More

Well sited in centre of older part of town, with plenty of nearby restaurants and the Market. Twin room a bit small and a little tired. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good but a touch expensive.

I have been staying at this hotel for years, long before it Was taken over by mercure. Always been very happy with the hotel. Stayed in a twin room which was clean and comfortable albeit a bit small. The reception staff on arrival were very polite friendly and hrlpful. We were told reception was covered 24 hours a day so... More

Stayed 1 night here on my way to Paris to a business meeting. Centrally located, ideal for 1 night stay, easy access to plenty of restaurants and perfectly suit me. Enjoyed breakfast as well which was continental and good choice of cheese. Will stay here again.

This is perfectly located if you are on a one or two day break in Calais. It is situated rigth in the middle of the Rue Royale, which is where all the best bars and restaurants are situated. 50 yds in one direction is the square, all lit up for Christmas! The room was not big but comfortable with a... More

Back now 'by choice' rather than forced by Tunnel issues. This time the room was larger, better bathroom, still comfortable bed and perfectly clean. Well decorated, this room seemed more modern - guessing we had the 'last room available' previously given our late booking and arrival. That one was ok however! Reception and staff just as pleasant or better than... More

The main problem with this hotel, is that the standard double/twin rooms are unfit for double occupancy. There is insufficient wardrobe space for the clothes of 1 person, let alone 2. Only a very small free standing wardobe is provided, and it is difficult and inconvenient to use, because the clothes rail sticks out at right angles to the rear... More

I don't know if I would describe this hotel as "nice." It is a hotel, and you can sleep there, but I wouldn't put it in the nice category. We stayed with a family of four, so we had a family room which consisted of a double bed and a pullout. Great-except that the slats on the pull-out fell out... More

I had cycled past this hotel several times without realising that it was a hotel. It was dark and I was tired so prepared to pay more than usual for a hotel. The receptionist was most friendly. However I had a problem with the keycard which is not all that unusual.. I could not get back into my room but... More

We arrived in Calais at 7pm and there was only street parking left (car park full). It saved us 15 euros but was a bit stressful having to carry cases in as it felt too insecure to leave them in the car. It took ages to check in (15 in queue). The room was really very nice for the price... More

Dear Susan, Thank you for sharing your review on Tripadvisor. Your positive comments are a real encouragement for my team and myself and we thank you.
