Stayed here at the start of our 3 week trip to Europe. A little worn around the edges in places but clean and tidy. Staff fantastic...we had a problem with the sink in our room which couldn't be fixed quickly so the gave us another room straight away. Breakfast buffet had a good selection available and was tasty. We are... More

We stayed here one night on our way down south, with our small dog: Faded splendour comes to mind as you enter the lobby. Reception staff polite, not overly welcoming. Room very small and again a bit eclectic, think ancient Gran's houses here, where she throws nothing out! However, bed very comfortable and nice crisp sheets. Bathroom and separate toilet... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Our bath toilet are 1.70 m x 1.00 m, I don't think it's short!! May be they are a little rough, but you are sure to be dry with them. About coffee machin, that's the first time I read that!! Even those small problems, I hope to see you on your next crossing. Kindest regards J.C.COSSART More

Like many others we went there for a one night stop-over. I chose the hotel due to the other reviews on this site and was not disappointed. Nice quiet room, with separate bathroom and toilet. A very comfortable bed for the night in a quiet environment . Breakfast was very good and I believe the overall cost represented good value... More

The young man at the front desk was brilliant, very helpful, even had a giggle with us. The room very clean loved the fact the toilet was seperate to the bathroom. Plenty of space in the room and the bed really comfy. Breakfast was good value for money, plenty to eat ready for you to choose from....yes it was serve yourself.....but... More

We were last at the Hotel Meurice 3 years ago and were looking forward to returning. I can only assume that last time we paid a supplement for one of their better rooms, because this time it was very disappointing. Our room was on the ground floor, down a dark passageway that smelt very musty. The room was smaller than... More

If your preference is for big anonymous American hotel chains with standardised decor and service then this hotel is not for you. If however you like the quirky and the original, with bags of Gallic charm then I strongly recommend the Hotel Meurice. We stayed here for just one night when visiting the Calais Wine Superstore to collect wine for... More

Lovely hotel in the centre of Calais. Stayed for one night in one of the ground floor rooms. Great location to eat at some of the lovely restaurants in Calais and in easy reach of Cite Europe for the shopping. Lovely little garden to sit in and an amazing breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, hot items like scrambled eggs,... More

We stayed here April this year, 2015. We had high expectations seeing as this was the best of the best hotels in Calais. Lovely friendly staff and the hotel is absolutely beautiful.. The decor is olde worldly, antiques, very 'old town', full of intriguing things to look at and admire. (Saying that there was a very strange smell in some... More

We stayed here overnight night on our recent wine trip to Calais. It was really first class all the way, from check-in to check-out. As noted in earlier reviews safe parking right outside, staff very friendly and helpful. One suggestion, mention your garden seating area - great location to relax with a glass of wine after a long drive, we... More

My family and I stayed here over the Easter Break, as we had a late ferry in from Dover (UK) and needed one night before moving on the next morning. You must visit this hotel at least once to take in the ambiance. Easy Parking on the roads outside, even in the early hours of Saturday morning. For a short... More
