We only booked for one night on our way to Paris, but, frankly, we would like to have stayed longer. We found our stay to be excellent value. The room was quaint and a bit quirky; not luxury but not a high price either. The staff were courteous and attentive. We spent a pleasant evening in the bar, unwinding after... More

Don't be seduced by the lovely entrance hall and sweeping staircase. The 'superior' room we had displayed amazing DIY incompetence. see photos. They had built a wall half way across the electrical fusebox. The shower grouting was pink and alive with bacteria. Alex Polizzi would have a field-day here! Breakfast was quite good but in a horrible room. The secure... More

This hotel is not perfect, but for an overnight stay or a weekend break you could do a lot worse. The rooms and bathrooms are old fashioned and there is no air-conditioning, but it is of a grand style with plenty of quirky artworks and antique furniture. Breakfast is very generous for France and lots of Brits stay here. It... More

We are now regular clients to the hotel Meurice as it is an ideal stopover on the way back to the uk. It is near the euro tunnel and the ferry crossing and we even stay there when we take the Dunkerque crossing. The first attraction was the secure underground parking. Although there is plenty of street parking around the... More

Don't bother to stay calais it is a dump stay further down the coast which is much nicer!! This hotel is pretty dated and a bit like faulty towers in calais, the parking area is full of hotel rubbish and the owners collection of jags! The breakfast was very average and no staff seemed to be on duty. We were... More

Booked this hotel for 1 night stop over based on previous reviews. What a wonderful discovery! Quirky furniture and grand staircase feature in this hotel, which from the outside looks quite austere. Reception staff spoke very good English and were pleasant. Our room had lovely comfy bed with separate bathroom and toilet. French style furniture and tea making facilities. Breakfast... More

Just got back from a weekend in Nord pas de Calais and stayed once again at the Hotel Meurice. As usual a great room, comfy bed, friendly service, good breakfast, great location. Don't be put off by the outside look of the hotel, inside it's all faded elegance, which I think is the style they were going for. The Restaurant... More

Ideal location near centre of town - good for restaurants and bars. Had a nice room and really comfortable bed. Receptionist friendly and helpful on arrival but after that...what happened to the importance of customer service? This place has lost its way. Breakfast in a room far too small for the number of people made worse by sour unfriendly service.... More

We were recommended to this hotel as our first choice was full - and we were pleased it was. We arrived to request a room and Natalie was the receptionist. You could not wish for a more helpful person and she had only been there a few weeks. They welcomed our dog who was travelling with us from the U.K.... More
