Pretty old school hotel but fine for a one night, relatively cheap stay. Not a bad breakfast included in the price and helpful staff from booking to check out. Secure parking for both cars and bikes. Good central location from the ferry port and train station also.

Our initial response was very positive. The entrance is impressive with a large staircase and interesting furniture. There are lots of great things about the hotel and we like staying there for the experience The price The breakfast being part of the deal The friendly staff The water coolers The parking It's central location The rooms are clean. There is... More

We last stayed here about 7 years ago and had an enjoyable stay, so we booked again just recently. Whilst we liked the old fashioned feel last time, we found this time that things had gone down hill. The hotel is very central, and we found an excellent restaurant just round the corner. Instead of a standard room we booked... More

We recently stayed in this hotel, very quirky with a lot of character, very clean and staff lovely. Close to everything lots of bars and restaurants near by.A real gem and we are already planning another trip in the winter, there is no need to pay very high prices for other hotels whilst this hotel has everything you could ask... A well situated hotel as only a short walking distance from plenty of restaurants and bars and plenty of free parking on the quiet streets.A lovely old fashioned reception with sweeping stairs, and furniture in keeping with the style. We had a double room and it was nicely furnished with an extremely comfortable bed.Separate bathroom and toilet which were very clean as... We overnighted at this hotel after a long journey through France. We wanted to stay in a typically French hotel instead of one of the chain hotels. What a mistake. Our room on the ground floor had an unpleasant odour, and lacked thorough cleaning. The toilet had no extractor fan or wash basin. The windows hadn't been cleaned for a... More

Good clean hotel. We had a family and a double room. The family room was perfect in that it was a large room section off with a curtain. Ideal for the boys as it gave us all some privacy and the boys had their own tv. Location was perfect with many restaurants within walking distance. Staff were excellent

We stayed overnight at the Meurice and really liked it.It's centrally located in Calais and we eventually found it with our satnav, being a 10-15 minute drive from the Channel Tunnel. There was a reasonable amount of free on street parking, but the hotel seemed to have a garage.Parking was included in our stay, as was Wi-Fi, which was voucher... More

After a long days driving and a short sea journey, this hotel was a welcome sight, the room was clean,if a little dated, the bed comfortable, the breakfast was very good.Parking was ample in a quiet street outside the hotel. The staff were helpful.

This was our third visit to this hotel in as many years but it will also be our last. The outside of the hotel is tired and needs a coat of paint at the least. The receptionist was curt and unhelpful. The bedroom although on first sight was as lovely and inviting as previous visits on close inspection it was... More
