This fairly new hotel is only a few minutes away from the Calais Eurotunnel terminal and offers excellent accommodation and facilities. As you enter the hotel it creates a feeling of space and airiness. The room was relatively large and well equipped. Use of the fitness centre is free and towels are provided for swimming. Service in the large restaurant... more

I've seen reviews of this hotel and staying in Calais. I have no idea why any negative reviews. The room were extremely clean and quiet. The food was exceptional. The staff was extremely helpful and curtious. We had a rental car which made this location perfect to drive and get on A16 to go anywhere we wanted to go. A... more

If the Ibis had comfortable beds we would stay there - but they are like concrete - so we stayed at the Copthorne instead. The rooms are Ok but expensive and noisy. The restaurant is beyond belief dreadful and very expensive for really poor food. Stay away, more

My family and I have used this hotel for a number of years, both as a Copthorne and a Holiday Inn for an overnight stay en route to Disney, Paris. The position of the hotel is excellent, just a 10 minute drive from the ferry terminal. We always drive through Calais town centre, and being Christmas time, my daughter enjoys... more

I have to say this hotel was very comfortable. The location is good - next to the motorway, but generally quiet. We found the building to be clean and modern, perhaps not brand spanking new, but definitely not fraying at the edges. What we loved was the very comfy king size bed and the pillows were great, although I thought... more

We stayed here for one night on our way back to England as it was close to the ferry port. When we arrived a guest was requesting a change of room as she said one was too noisy because of air conditiong fans and the one she had just been allocated was a no-smoking that smelt of smoke. Our room... more

My wife and I have stayed in this hotel several times on our way into France and beyond and did so again in May (outgoing) and June (returning) 2008. The hotel building looks just like a hundred others in the UK and doubtless beyond. but it is set in large grounds with plenty of parking and grass areas, and is... more

Quietly situated, modern Holiday Inn near Channel Tunnel. Good rooms, most with rural views. Restaurant is pleasant and food good but pricy, as are the bar drinks. Bar food better value. However, a good overnight stop. Will stay again. more

We took a late crossing into France & decided to spend the night in Calais. I found a very reasonable deal at the Holiday Inn & really didn't expect very much. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we got there from the tunnel: it's 3km at most & easy to find. The archtecture is nothing to write home... more
