The hotel is not easy to locate as rue de Noyon is a pedestrianised street and the hotel does not have its name prominently displayed (just a brown sign saying 'hotel'). It's actually on the corner of rue de Noyon and Boulevard de Belfort with car parking in the multi-storey cinema car park almost opposite (take ticket on entry but... More

The hotel is close to the railway and bus station, despite this it's quiet. Not all rooms are fine and upgraded at the time of my stay. I advice to ask for and get a superior room if available. Breakfast is in the average and could be improved. The staff is friendly and supportive

stayed 3 nights whilst touting somme battlefields. Had balcony room on front corner - couldn't fault it for the price. Underground parking ('perret') only 3.6 euros for 24 hours. staff great no problems loved its history and nooks and crannies

The hotel appears to be a 3 star hotel but some details in the room are not suitable for a 3 star. The room is not new and the bed makes strange sound. The bed is very very hard and may not be OK for those who love soft beds. Be careful with the faucet in the bathroom. You can... More

We stayed in this hotel whilst touring The Somme battlefields and found it very comfortable and convenient. The parking for the hotel is across the road so try not to have too many suitcases but apart from that it was great. We arrived on a freezing cold night and although the receptionist didn't speak very good english and our french... More

We spent 4 very good nights in this Amiens Hotel. We particularly enjoyed the great convenience it afforded. On the balmy summer evenings we either enjoyed the very good restaurant on the ground floor of Le Carlton or we wandered the very pleasant downtown area to find a spot. Le Carlton has a terrific breakfast, too at about 8.50. The... More

Rooms are really very dirty. Never heard of a vacuum cleaner. In the bathroom everywhere hairs, dust and mold. Bed is hard and noisy. Under the bed not cleaned since years. Everywhere dust. Old and broken furniture We could check in from 7.00a.m. according our reservation but the room was avaliable at 14.00. According to website airconditioned in every room,... More

Le Carlton is in a great location, directly opposite the train station which is not at all a 'tacky' part of town as is the usual case with train stations. It leads onto to a great little pedestrian only shopping mall and the town itself is very clean, there is obviously a lot of civic pride here. The canal area... More
