Apparently the Prince of Wales stayed here in 1932. It was probably tres chic back then. Now, it's slightly faded, like an ageing rock star. The rooms are typically small, the bed firm and the shower more difficult to operate than a submarine. But it's great value, the staff are friendly, the wifi is excellent and the location, across the... More

Five of us were working in Amiens, had a budget to stick to, and Le Carlton met our criteria. It's in an excellent location, just over the road from the station and an underground car park, and an easy walk to the Cathedral and the sights around it. The reception staff were great - friendly, helpful and English-speaking. Rooms were... More

Le Carlton is directly across the road from the railway station and the underground Perrett car park so location couldn't be better. The car park is really cheap - €3.50 for 24 hours, with a voucher from the hotel. Le Carlton is right beside the Perrett Tower, so if you get lost when you are wandering about, just look for... More

The Carlton is a lovely older style hotel in a great location directly opposite Amiens Gare (railway station).Although central ,we had no problems at all with any exterior noise.Just outside the hotel door is an open shopping mall with plenty of cafes and restaurants. For us it was ideally situated as our battlefields tour operator picked us up just a few... Stayed one night in June 2014 . Is slightly dated but comfortable and nice friendly staff. Great central location. Great value at €65. Small room but comfy clean bed. Large modern en-suite with lovely powerful shower. Would be nice to have coffee / tea making facilities but this seems to be an English thing so not usually seen in France... More

This hotel is right across the street from the train station. Our room faced the busy street and had noise. Room is small and older furnishings. No in room amenities. No shower curtain and you stood in tub to shower. There is a walking street right outside with lots of shops and stores and the cathedral is a short walk... More

I must say our experience of this hotel has little in common with the previous 2 reviewers. The room was small, but we found the bed very comfortable and the ensuite very spacious. It is true that it is ready for some re-furbishment, but we rather like slightly faded French hotels! No coffee making facilities, but there was the possibilty... More

Arrived to what looked like a lovely hotel in a great location. The room is tiny and the bed is horribly hard and squeaks every time you move. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and there are no tea or coffee making facilities which you would expect for a hotel of it's price. Go elsewhere!

This hotel is a long way from the centre of town. Our room was a good size, but there was a standard double bed that was very hard an uncomfortable. The bathroom was old style with a small bath with hand-held shower with no wall bracket. The weather was hot and there was no air conditioning, though there was heating.... More
