Rooms were rather shabby and there was a surprising amount of noise from adjoining rooms. Front desk staff were grumpy and unhelpful. If it was really cheap, you'd feel it was OK, but at nearly 100 Euros per room per night it's poor value. more

Do not be deceived by the photo of the charming facade - this is the worst hotel I've ever been in, bar none. Staff were unhelpful. Our rooms were dank, shabby and dirty. Bedding not clean. My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Amiens. I attended a meeting at the Picardi Regional Council offices, my wife went shopping and sightseeing. Amiens was very nice. Stayed here for one night on our way south. Arrived really late, emptied car overnight from space outside. Night porter obviously expecting us and formalities kept to a minimum. This old hotel is built on a street corner quite unlike the picture on its website which appears to be taken from the park across the road. Local street parking only - if you can find a space. This is an old quirky hotel with a certain charm - but a little too faded and questionably clean for my liking. If travelling for atmosphere/local character, this may work better for you - for me, on business, it wasn't right.
