The Mercure Amiens is low on charm and high on efficiency. My " privilege" rooms was large and bright and amenities included a bathrobe and slippers. The bathroom however was ridiculously small, and other details showed that the chain economizes everywhere. But the staff at the reception desk was very nice and I liked the restaurant: excellent breakfast and very... More

Stayed over the last three nights. We chose Amiens as a base for our visits to the WW1 memorial sites etc.Never having stayed in a Mecure hotel we were rather looking forward to it. The hotel is in a great cation near to the cathedral with restaurants nearby. Would recommend Chez Rosa which is an Italian just opposite the hotel as... More

3 nights in room 401 which is a suite overlooking the cathedral. Has a large balcony spacious room and good use of the spaces. For me the shower over bath is awkward I prefer separate shower and funny how the toilet is separate. King bed is comfy and a choose of pillows are provided. Breakfast is not worth the money... Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment. I am pleased you can enjoy the nice view from the terracce of your room. For breakfast, instead of the large hot buffet, you can also choose the Express breakfast for half price, if you don't need so much to eat in the morning. Be sure we take care to all your remarks... Ok, we're on a holiday and there's probably more quaint places to stay. But this place is close to the cathedral ( like 'spitting' distance) and a short walk from the town centre. However, it's supposed to be 4 star. And, admittedly, one of the big attractions of this chain is it's firmly aimed at the business traveller. But, if... More

Dear Sir, Thank you to take time to give your feelings about our hotel. If you comme back to visit us, you can choose a Privilège room, where you will find a coffee machine for Expresso, real cups to drink it. And anyway, you can always ask for glass or cup from the bar. With my best regards Anne D More

I booked this hotel for a group that was travelling visiting WW1 sites. On arrival the hotel receptionists were organised and polite. Noting we were a group of 14 men thay quickly got the bar staffed and service levels were good. Rooms were clean and stylish as was the whole of the hotel .. breakfast was of good choice and... Almost right across from the Cathedral - some rooms have Cathedral views. We stayed in a room with two singles and a pull out single sofa bed for a child. Bathroom is a little strange, since the glass doors to the shower/sink area let light through which is annoying if one person is sleeping and the other is using the... More

Dear Guests, I will be glad to welcome you again, and from easter week end, come and visit the "Hortillonnages", if you don't know this spot already: floating gardens to visit by by electric boat, very closed to Amiens center, 10mn walk from the hotel. See you soon Best regards, Anne D More

Central location right beside the magnificent Amiens Cathedral (200 metres). Check in handled easily by competent English speaking staff. Room was clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Some of our party had a fantastic view of the Cathedral (ask for a room with a view). Breakfast was very good, wide range of cereals, continental meats and cheeses and lots of tasty... More

A relatively new build in the centre of the town in an area that original caused much consternation form the locals (a lot of new build houses flats and this hotel virtually in the grounds of the cathedral). The building is sympathetic and beautifully architected (if there is such a word). Car park with special rates less tan 5 minutes... More

We stayed for a night on the way to Paris, and were very pleased to have chosen Amiens for a stop and the Mercure as the place to stay. The staff were particularly helpful and explained the sights of the city and locations for restaurants. Parking is in a public underground car park about 5 minutes walk away - it... More

Comfortable family room, clean and reasonably priced, in a super little town.Asked in advance for a room with cathedral view and got it - lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay! Found decent places to eat and excellently located for strolling around the town. Perfect for drives out to Albert and Thiepval. It offered everything we needed and the... More
