The hotel is charming with a beautiful garden although the room was somewhat dinghy and lacking character. The service was mixed in terms of attentiveness on all but 1 occasion. Bitten by a wasp in the garden during dinner, the maitre d'hôtel quickly drove me to the local emergency dept of Laval hospital. His actions were exemplary and ensured my... More

Stayed here for a few days on business. The hotel is very stylish with quality finishes in the rooms. We had a Superior Room which was very spacious. The downside will be lack of airconditioning, especially in summer. There was no kettle with coffee or tea in the rooms although there is a machine downstairs in the bar or breakfast... More

This hotel looks like modified from a mansion with a large front court. Room is big with heated floor so no air conditioner was found. Having dinner in the restaurant and was requested to dress formal. Food is elegant but steak was overcooked though asked medium when ordering. Very good atmosphere and acient decoration in the entire hotel.

Dear Tripadvisor travellers, I stayed for the second time for business for one night in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I can only say that it is a good hotel with very nice rooms. This time I stayed in a room close to the garden and the pool. I was... More

Having looked at the website which described the place as a lovely and warm place...We were actually disappointed. We had booked for a room with preferably two beds and were given one with one bed. First bad point. There were no one in the hotel, Christmas period explaining this surely but we could have been given another room as lots... More

Thankfully I only stayed here for one night. For a hotel which promised great things the service was a major disappointment along with small issues with the rooms. For example, there was no luggage service which was a problem for some of the older folk on upper floors. Also dined here as a group. Although the waiters tried hard to... More

There are some business events in Laval during which finding a hotel room can be a bit of a challenge and this is how I ended up booking a 'family' suite at the Perier du Bignon, which happened to be also perfectly located for that business trip. Check-in was a bit clumsy with check-in time which was at first strictly... More

we chose the hotel for it's location above all, since we would be arriving later in the day on a stop over from Normandy on the way to the Loire area. The imposing courtyard with the gate is a nice first impression. The hotel mixes ultra modern (the bar) with traditional furnishings and décor. It mostly works just fine. Our... More

A very nice hotel tucked away at the top of Laval. I spent a quick business overnight trip here and had a really nice room overlooking the pool. Nice breakfast, attentive service all set in a beautifully restored building. If you haggle for inclusive breakfast it's pretty good value. Only drawback is the need to grab a taxi to the... More
