We booked this hotel last minute as a four night stop over en route to the Loire, staying with our two children. What a find! Lovely location (our large and very clean & quiet room) had a beautiful view across the lake. Ideal location to explore this very pretty town with lots of restaurants. Pool was great, only slight downsides... More

This hotel is a nice place to stay and has a great location looking out over the lake. There is a spa but we didn't use it. Rooms are well sized and modern but ask for a lake view with terrace if they are available. Makes a big difference. Nice bar terrace too. We enjoyed our stay here.

Very nice hotel. Staff are friendly, room very quite with lake view. Pool and sauna also very clean and even in summer time it's not overcrowded. it's situated in the center of the town, near casino, tourism office, thermal, park, lake, hippodrome, forests etc..Highly recommended this hotel for a peaceful weekend.

Staff treated us very well during our stay, allowed us in with our feral children and equally feral Springer Spaniel, didn't blink once when we asked for dinner early, nor when my kids were drowning everyone. In truth, it was delightful, a place where they allow you to speak French, no matter how bad, and treat you as though you've... More

The Beryl wants to be a luxury spa hotel, but it's the little things that keep it stuck at three star. No fridge and no safe in the room tells you we're three star, but no tea-making facilities - gasp, how are we Brits supposed to stay hydrated? Instead of a kettle bizarrely, there is a steamer to reheat meals... More

Whilst on a trip to Europe, we had to stop at Alencon to do some business in Normandy, France. We decided to look for a Chateau, but all the ones we liked were booked, so we went for this hotel in a small pretty town that allowed us to make the trip to Alencon first thing, then visit the Normandy... in very low season stayed one night, had nice well fitted clean room huge bed overlooking lake. Spa was nice, clean, could have done with robes as standard to get down from our room in swimwear ... otherwise it was ok. very quiet though, wouldn't like to think how it would be in peak season. The jacuzzi failed to switch... More

We went with two friends for a long weekend and all of us found the hotel exceeded our expectations. We were pleased that we had booked rooms with lake views as it was so nice to wake up to such a lovely view. All the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms, although slightly small were very clean... More

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of years running, it's location is ideal, in the heart of Normandy overlooking the lake and Casino and a short stroll to the restaurants. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
