As other trip advisors have noted, the Hotel Le Normandie's website does NOT accurately reflect the decrepit condition of the hotel. After checking out the "standard" room, which was a hellhole that would not meet anyone's "standards," I paid to upgrade to a "superior" room. We booked this in advance and asked for a specific "superior" room that we had stayed in before. When we arrived we were told that particular room was unavailable and that we had been upgraded to the "junior suite" at no extra cost. Good start!! This was massive and well-appointed. We were delighted with this hotel, which would appear to have been refurbished recently. From beginning to the end of our three-day stay the staff were friendly and most helpful. The food was excellent, and the room (in the round tower, overlooking the street) well decorated, comfortable, and clean. And free wireless broadband connection in the bedroom.

The website shows a modern, clean, comfortable room. We ended up with a shabby (not in a chic way), ancient, totally different room to what we expeceted. A complete let down! LOOK ELSEWHERE
