Only stayed for a couple of nights but very impressed with the welcome, quality of dinners, and in particular, the location. Our room was good although a little dark and cold but this is more to do with the age of the property and the shade of the trees just outside than anything else. Excellent location in a beautiful area.... More

This is a lovely French hotel, a world away from the indifferent logis we encounter too often on our travels. In classic French style, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a superb bathroom. Its separate wc did suffer from the perennial and inexplicable problem in France, no ventilation, but otherwise all aspects of the room, storage, warmth, comfort... More

I have eaten at the restaurant here many times, ambience is excellent, free wifi, and great service the hotel is very pretty, directly by the beautiful lake....cosy yet right in the centre of this very pretty town.

We have just spent three nights at this delightful hotel as part of a break with Brittany Ferries. This small and friendly hotel in Bagnoles sur L'Orne, a spa town, is an ideal base for touring the local countryside or the coast. As we had taken the overnight crossing,we arrived quite early on in the day and were surprised to... More

What a treasure, this is just such a fabulous hotel that is just exactly as you want a French hotel to be - traditional French in every way. The rooms are clean, elegant and spacious and in period keeping with the build of the property, everything works well (masses of hot water and an excellent shower) and the beds are... More

My wife visited this hotel for the second time this year and, again, was delighted. This is what she said: "This is a charming hotel in the "old" style but with all the modern comforts. Nothing is too much for the owners and personnel and I was greeted like a long-lost friend. The food and rooms are top class and... More

We stayed for one night at this hotel, a large 19th century house situated in a quiet part of the town and surrounded by a small garden with adequate parking space. Our room, no. 8, a "double grande chambre", was spacious and comfortable. We had a very good night's sleep. We had an enjoyable dinner in the charming old-fashioned dining-room.... More

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us for the DDay 70th year events. Bagnoles de L'Orne is a beautiful spa town, and this particular hotel is located centrally -- near very good restaurants, bars and cafes, a park, the casino (no, we are not casino-goers), shops. It is also is a pleasant walk to the Andaines forest, and the... More

My wife stayed here at the weekend and this is what she said: I was in Bagnoles for the weekend as there is a huge annual brocante which lasts all weekend. I originally booked into a two star Logis (Auberge de la Foret at St Michel des Andaines) but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the Logis was closed for the... More

We have just been on a 12 day tour of France and had a range of hotels from poor to excellent and this one of the two we recommend. The managemnt were frienbdly and helpful, room was wonerful, and service and food in the restaurant were excellent. Although this is "4 star", I think it was value for money when... More
