For a very unique experience, stay here in this family run, excellent value hotel. Be prepared to carry your luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Rooms tight but comfy but many have views of the Abbey lit up at night. Restaurant serves good dinners in a room with all windows looking out at the water. Or mud. But a fabulous... More

We got a bay-view room with half-board and it was great. The bath isn't the size of a postage stamp, and it's just a beautifully done room, with lots of plugs, and it even had two bars of soap - one of for the shower and one for the sink - a first on this trip. And while the shower... More

My understanding is that most of the hotels - that are reasonably priced and actually on the Mont -are all equally mediocre. Well, Hotel du Guesclin's price and restaurant would qualify for it as the best among the mediocre. We almost overlooked this hotel in favor of one more than twice its price because Hotel du Guesclin doesn't book through... More

We stayed here at the recommendation of Rick Steve's book. We wanted to stay on the island of Mont St Michel and beat the morning crowds. We did not stay here for the comfort but more for the convenience of the location. The owners were kind and friendly and also ran the restaurant at the hotel on the 2nd floor.... More

A great little gem. Great views and very nice staff. It's in an old place and wifi not strong anywhere. What does one expect when you choose to stay in such a historic location? Well worth staying on the island and this particular hotel not as expensive as some on mainland. If you like staying in quirky places filled with... More

Staff were helpful, though not too helpful if that makes sense. The view from our rooms was really cool. The breakfast in the morning at the hotel was pretty good but not overwhelming. Not sure why sat everyone eating breakfast as far back from the beautiful view of the water? We think it was because they were getting it ready... More

The hotel was no good (trying to be nice) no internet and the man on reception just said ' O'well' but did nothing to help. It would not usually matter going a night without buti was trying to book accommodation for the next night and was unable to....o'Well. The lady was nice and tried to help us but her English... This hotel is located on the ramparts of Mont. St. Michel. After the shops close at 5pm and all the tourists leave, you are free to explore the island with few other people. And once the sun goes down the Abbey lights up. You can lean out the window of the hotel and see part of it, or you can... More

We wanted to stay one night in Le Mont-Saint-Michel, and we chose this hotel for value for money. Definitely handy to appreciate the uniqueness of the place and the tourist visit outside the box, but the hotel absolutely is average. Modest rooms, clean, but though a bit "dated", clean bathroom, but "experienced" ... Nice view from the window on the... More

This was described previously as the best of a bad bunch - I just think it's bad. We suffered two meals here with friends. First a brunch involving omelettes that had been cooked previously, certainly not that day, and then warmed with whatever filling you required. Inedible rubbish and if you can't cook fresh omelettes you should not call yourself... More
