Made an overnight trip from Paris to Mont St. Michel. We stayed at this lovely hotel located mid-point on the island, halfway up a steep hill. The room was a bit dated and small, but the large bathroom and the view from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The menu offered three separately priced a la cartel menus. The least expensive... If you are staying the night on Mont-St-Michel (which is the best time to experience it) this little hotel is a good choice. Yes, it is small and the rooms aren't fancy but they are clean and comfortable. The location is near the entrance to the island so you don't have too far to walk with your bags and the... More

Hotel du Guesclin is a good place to stay on Mont-St-Michel. Our room was comfortable and well-supplied, and the staff was always welcoming and helpful. We chose to have breakfast and dinner at the hotel for convenience but would probably search out other dining options if we return there.

The Hotel du Guesclin is a little jewel. The staff go out of their way to be helpful, pleasant and friendly. Mont St-Michel is a place of many, many, narrow, spiral staircases, and few, if any, elevators, so it's a good idea to pack light for your visit there. I didn't, and the staff there cheerfully carried my "beast" up... More

Because of the crowds during the day we decided to stay the night and this hotel was recommended which seemed to be as good as any of the others on the island. We were extremely lucky as we got a cancellation five days before we went. Because of so few hotels they all book up very quickly. We arrived about... More

For €88 per person per night, you get a room stay, dinner and breakfast all included. The room comes with a great view of the bay to watch the tide. Unfortunately, when we were there, there wasn't much tide but we could hear the waters rushing in the morning and sounds of seagulls. Hotel is easy to find, it's along... More

However without A/C it is very noisy in the am as everything is ferried over and unloaded in the wee hours. Beds left something to be desired. The shower was so tiny that you couldn't turn around in it. Restaurant was great though.

Save your money up and and stay here for a night, it was an unforgettable experience. We had two rooms for a family of five, both with views that let us watch the tide come in. The Mont itself deserves every accolade it gets. My kids picked up dozens of long-lasting itchy bug bites over night, but I'm not sure... More

Utterly charming staff at this gen if an hotek went to real trouble to store our bikes and look after our luggage for us. The room was cosy and the view over the estuary and salt marshes was superb - as was the easy access to the island ramparts. Baths restaurant was good too (an lovely dining room and charming... The room was fine and reasonably priced, but the real appeal is you'll wake up in the morning with the island to yourself. I got up at 7am, and walked pretty much everywhere and saw two other tourists. The light was perfect for photography. A nice bonus was the view of the Abbey from our window.
