Staying on Mont-St-Michel brings with it a certain challenge. First of all, there are significant stairs and steep inclines - these can be real challenges for those who are not used to them. Be forewarned - do NOT bring a large suitcase up to the Mont. Pack only what is absolutely needed and leave the rest in the car down... more

Our room was about a block away from the main hotel and up about 50 stairs with no actual bellman but some poor young lad from the kitchen. Our sea view was possible if we stood on each other's shoulders and crawled out on the roof top to peer through 2 chimneys and you had a great imagination. The bathroom... more

We paid 130 euros to stay overnight on the Mont. We drove from Bayeux, where we had stayed for the previous 2 nights touring D-day beaches. Thought it would be neat to drive down to the Mont, do the tour of the abbey, and then stay the night. In hindsight, I think we should have just made a day trip... more

Skip the meal plan, the food was terrible. There is probably no good food on Mont St Michel, but the carelessly prepared dinner was a disgrace to French cooking. more

We loved our stay at the Mont St. Michel. The Auberge St. Pierre did not disappoint us. The hotel, as anything in France, is about million years old, but we found it very well kept and adapted the best way possible for today's world. We had the double room, which was fairly spacious, with a view to the street and... more

We spent one night at the Auberge Saint-Pierre on Mont St Michel in the summer of 2008 and we absolutely loved it! First of all, Mont St Michel is not to be missed on any trip to France! The ambiance of spending the night on the Mont is just so awesome - I highly recommend it. It's also great to... more

We visited Le Mont Saint Michel and stayed for 1 night at hotel St Pierre on a half board basis. The room was great, the food was perfect and all the staff very helpful and friendly. We had a great time, and there is a special feeling when you walk at night in Le Mont St Michel, almost on your... more

I knew in advance that our stay on the Mont would be over-priced, but likely memorable, and it was! We arrived in the early evening, and went for an unforgettable walk up the deserted abbey - the highlight of our trip to France. The hotel room was a bizarre cross of Golden Girls meets european motel with a rich mildewy... more

For the thrill of staying on the Mont, I was willing to look past the parts of this place which were not so good. Basically, if you're going to stay on the Mont, that alone is worth the trip. But be aware, that some of the rooms are scattered all over the village. Ours was up several flights of stairs... more

For evaluating this hotel, the location should not count because all 15 hotels are lining up on the single street of the Mont and the reason you are paying the high price is exactly for the location. Everything on the Mont is over-priced including breakfast and the busy staff sometimes fail to mind their politeness. Since the Auberge Saint Pierre... more
