We spent 2 days at Hotel Le Mouton Blanc. The hotel was not very charming, but the room was very quiet and well heated (it was in winter). It is very convenient to be on the Mont itself. The staff was nice, and the car park near the shuttle very convenient (but charged 12.5 euros). We did not tried the... More

As a small child I read Richard Halliburton's Book on the 7 wonders of the ancient and modern world. I was captivated by Le Mont Saint Michel and decided this trip to France we would go to Normandy. I also thought it best to stay on the Mont and have a relaxing evening after the crowds left. The hotel was... More

Following a call to the hotel we gained a code to park right next to the very efficient shuttle that took us close to the entrance to Mont St Michel and walked up the narrow streets to the hotel. Talk about friendly staff! Like everything the building was ancient and full of character but clean and very adequate. The big... More

Hotel is inside the Mont. This is not our first time staying in this hotel. Their bathroom was renovated which was nice. Just make sure you don't have a lot of baggage to carry to the winding stairs. The only downside was all the mosquitoes flying while we were there in September, even in their restaurant and the reception lady... More

The hotel is charming and the front desk woman was very friendly and helpful. Our room, in the main building, was adequate with comfortable bed and a modern bathroom, though a hefty walk up. There was no wifi in the room and it rarely worked anywhere in the hotel. The hotel is well located near the bottom of the only... More

My elderly mother waited in the hotel restaurant while I schlepped our bags further up the hill to our room in the 'annex': think dingy dorm room with an airplane bathroom. She was winded and sweating and clearly needed a rest. She asked Celine for a drink, and the reply she got was a 'NO!' without explanation. Sadly, this was... More

Good location if you want to stay on the Mont. Short, easy walk up the only street, even with a roller bag, close to the entrance. We actually left our bags in a locker at the new visitors welcome center and carried only an overnight bag. Staff very helpful. Room small. No AC but good evening breeze via window. Bathroom... We choose Le Mouton Blanc because we wanted to experience staying right where the abbey is, we checked in and the girl at the reception gave us the directions to get to our room, she printed some pictures and let us go... it was not difficult to find the place, but we felt kind of left apart as you turn... We only spent 2 days (1 overnight) in Mont-St-Michel and it was way too short of a stay. I had read before our trip that it is best to stay at a hotel off the island, but I'm so glad we decided to stay there. The place empties out in the early evenings and if you are an early riser,... More

If you want an above average hotel, stay off of Mont St. Michel. However, for a unique experience, I suggest you DO stay on the Mont. It appears none of the hotels actually on Mont St. Michel rise above average according to other reviews. We selected this hotel to be on the Mont and because it was the best available... More
