The exterior of the hotel is impressive, in front of it is a nice little park and at the other side you have a free view on the beach, so the total impression is marvellous. The interior is completely redone in a rather modern way with a subtile preservation of some old details, in our opinion very well done, although... More

We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were delighted. Our room had a terrace with a direct view on the beach and was very big (no115). The bath products were very nice. The people in the hotel were friendly and smily during our whole stay. We had cocktails and oysters at the bar, it was just perfect. We... More

This Victorian grande-dame is aging pretty well with an absolutely stunning location on the Normandy Beaches. We watched the trotting horses train on the beach every morning from the lovely restaurant. Service was warm and attentive - rooms are large, bright and pretty well updated. Bathrooms large well equipped with all the mod-cons. We were here with another couple and... More

Paid extra for a room with a sea view, turned out to be worth it! Beautiful room, you could hear the waves from the shoreline. The hotel had high standard and helpful staff. We ordered room service, the only flaw was that they forgot to bring us a glas for the water.

The Grand Hotel de Cabourg, where Proust stayed a century ago, would be familiar to him in name and facade only. The interior has been stripped of all elegance, period detail and comfort, replaced by the faux “luxury” of corporate design. The general color scheme of charcoal, purple, mauve and ivory seemed appropriate mourning hues for the cheap, empty decor... More

This is a superb hotel situated in a beautiful part of the French Normandy coastline. Easy access to cultural, historical and gastronomical attractions. I have stayed here before and the rooms are nicely equipped but a little bit 'knocked about'. Good free wifi throughout the hotel, nice bar but the restaurant was a bit pricier than we wanted to pay... More
