My friend and I booked two single rooms in this charming hotel for two days in June. The welcome was immediate by the owners, our rooms clean and spacious, and the food excellent and interesting. The old bricks and beams have tremendous atmosphere and we used it as a base to tour First World War Museums and sites. Good access... More

Courteous and thoughtful owners, spotless and tasteful bedroom, helpful staff and excellent food and wine - what more could one ask for. The staff spoke excellent English but allowed the conversation to flow in French where the customer felt comfortable. The suckling pig, one of the restaurant specialities, was very good and well-priced. The breakfast could have been wider in... More

My cousin and I were visiting the war graves of 2 great uncles and stayed at this lovely and quirky historic hotel. It is situated in the centre of town and offers secure parking in nearby car park. The hotel is a 400 yr old ex- mill with original cobbles on ground floor and beams throughout. Each room is unique... More

Stayed here for one night en route to a family wedding in Belgium. The character is lovely and it seems fairly upmarket with a quaint courtyard. It's not the sort of hotel we would want to stay in for more than a night however, as the features are oldy-worldy and a bit impractical - ie the bathroom window was enormous... More

My wife and I with 2 children stopped off here on the way back from the Alps. It is well worth a visit in its own right and became one of the highlights of our holiday. The hotel is wonderfully charming, a 16th century staging post between Paris and Brussells that has been entertaining travelers ever since. Our room was... More

We booked this hotel as the town is close to the route of the Paris Roubaix - very close in fact. The charm and period features are wonderful and the hotel has been very sympathetically modernised. The restaurant is amazing - high standard food cooked in front of us made it very special.

We had been to this hotel some 15 years ago and found it as charming as we remembered. The only harm are the wooden stairs and floors, which make some noise. All the rooms are different and decorated with antics. Only in the bathroom you can find some modernity. There is also a good restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast... More

Another excellent stay at this quirky little hotel. I have stayed in most of the rooms now and all are completely different. Food is superb and the welcome and service always of a high quality. I did lose some sleep with a stag party going on in the square but this is the first time in 6 or more stays... More

Visiting a mohair wool craftswoman in the region we lunched here. Historic building, pretty red bricks and white stone awnings. (Beware the handicapped as the ancient cobble stones in the courtyard and the restaurant made walking very tricky). The folk up North in France have a disarming simplicity, they welcome you with kindness, it is very agreeable. The food was tasty though... Stunning period style hotel, apparently 400 years old which still retains some of its quaint period features. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a large room that overlooked the street. Other reviewers said it was noisy, although we stayed on a Sunday night and found it extremely peaceful. A short 5 minute walk and you are right in the... More
