7th May 2015. This hotel is perfectly placed opposite the Railway Station for a train trip to Lille. (which I can also recommend). There is access to a lock-up garage. The service and food in the restaurant cannot be faulted and the breakfast was good too.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Valenciennes for 4 nights in January and, all-in-all it was a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and well maintained and even though the room looked out onto a busy street there was no noise problem. The hotel staff in the Reception, breakfast room, bar and restaurant were all very pleasant and we tried... More

Visited this Hotel in December 2014 to visit Christmas Markets. A very smart Hotel with excellent friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. We had a nice warm room on the 2nd floor with very interesting décor. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced for France, I asked for "House red wine" and got a pitcher of Chateau... A lovely refurbished hotel in a nice village. The station is directly opposite and the modern tram runs in front but noise isn't a problem. Friendly staff, clean well kept rooms. Communal areas are pleasant. Bar prices not too bad. The fixed evening meal was tasty, well presented and served very efficiently, especially as there were 50 guests on our... More

Old style French Hotel that was rather charming. it is located opposite the railway station and the modern tramway system runs through the square so it is a very convenient location. The dinner was a good French standard and the breakfast had everything we required..Our room was comfortable with ensuite
