Booked in for 1 night on way thru France and decided to stay an extra day. Lovely family run hotel with exceptional staff. The chateau is surrounded by a moat with lovely grounds. Geese, 2 setter dogs and guinea fowl wander around - none being intrusive but add to the peaceful natural surroundings, all animals are kept as pets. Veg... More

This 'Castle' is outside Cambrai, in the countryside. The rooms are varied and ours was rather small and claustrophobic, but I suppose it is pot luck what you get. In a Castle I had expected really large rooms. We went there for the restaurant and were not disappointed. Excellent cuisine and wines of the highest standard. A really special meal... More

We were travelling with friends and booked this hotel expecting a lively chateau in the country from what we had read. Unfortunately this was not the case. The whole place had an air of being closed. There only appeared to be two staff on which meant that everything took some time. The receptionist also served in the restaurant in the... More

Our second visit and we were equally pleased. The full board price was very good (260 euros for 2), the restaurant set meal was excellent (our only complaint may have been that there was too much!!) and the inclusive drinks were Champagne, Premier Cru Chablis and a 2005 Cotes du Luberon. The Hotel is near the Matise museum, we travelled... More

When only 2 out of 26 rooms are let, why charge me full rack rate and then put us in the smallest room possible. A room so small there wasn't a full length mirror; so small there wasn't a bedside light; so small with a small writing table with a huge lamp on it so the table can't be used;... More

I am not easiest person when it comes to eating in restaurants and hotels because of a plethora of allergies. Not only were they extremely accommodating, the food was top rate. Rooms in the annex were excellent. My only reservation was going to the hotel in winter means a short walk outside to get to the restaurant. A very small... More

Recently spent the weekend here and used it as a base to visit some of the war graves in Northern France. This place was fantastic and the food was first class. We received a very warm welcome and were treated like kings and queens throughout the weekend. The Chateau itself was very comfortable and quirky and very clean although our... More

We stayed one night in a Junior Suite. It is quite expensive for what you get. Yes the room is clean, and recent... and so poorly standard. No particular charm. Their decoration is no nore than a standard chain hotel; no antiques or particular design unfurtunetaly. TV excellent. Bathroom clean, standard. Breaksfast service snoby, unfriendly.

Visited on a 2 night special offer deal (Nicoles special selection), and although 'out of season' and very quiet we had a truly memorable experience. Our package included 4 course evening meal which included wine with each course. The food - superb - justifying its Michelin star. The wine selected by their sommelier - excellent. The service from the very... More

Outrageously expense even though I am usually not more stingy than anyone else... Rooms are well decorated but again, really not worth what you pay for ! SUPER TINY breakfast for high pricing again. No, the value is just not there and on top of this, the service is very snoby and not friendly...
